Surprisingly Few EV Reviews in the Media...

Wow, been constantly checking Google News for reviews of this EV tour -- and there's just not many, one or two for Albany, Philly and Memphis so far. The big brohaha in Baltimore was his "no show" for Hannan's.

For the music town that Nashville is, nothing in the local papers (at least online). You fans bought all the tickets! Press couldn't even get in?

His April Fools tour had formal press/media concert reviews at nearly every stop of the way. Same with the East Coast tour last year -- but this one is shockingly light on media coverage.

Bummed -- cause they can sometimes post some of the best pictures of Ed Solo!

Yeah I have noticed the same thing. I looked in the local paper the next day after Nashville and...nothing. I don't really care about the opinions but I like to read about what happened, stuff I forgot about, pictures, etc.
If I had known then what I know now...

I've been searching for the exact same thing and been shocked at how little coverage the shows have received. I also follow bob dylan and there is a review for every show the man plays, no matter where in the world.

That's dylan and as much as I love pj they are no dylan. Let's not forget he's playing the south where the mainstream media outlets aren't going to go out of their way to cover a known leftist. I was expecting to see some coverage, but figured it would be mostly negative.

ps I fucking love the south, at least for travel and vaca, wasn't trying to bash it.

I am not surprised at all. I don't think there is anything Pearl Jam/Eddie Vedder can do to lose the public perception that the last song they put out was Jeremy.

Apparently, we're not the only ones who don't give a shit if he's touring for the third time doing the same songs 90% of the time.

    ha.
    yes, i was there....too bad ed wasn't. ;)

that said, i am really unsurprised really by the lack of media attention. this is what, the third little mini-tour that ed has done now - and a year later than the other 2? no new album, nothing really *new* about it at all.....so i'd not expect much coverage.

Heh, that's what I noticed too - and the first thing I thought when I woke up a few hours later in the hotel and went to the gas station to get some coffee and newspapers....nada. They also had other type of newspapers/newsletters in the main lobby (it's uh more like the backroom that they tried so hard to make it look like a office ;) - when Natalie found out which Day Inns we were staying at - on Dickerson - she freaked out and said it was "bad area"... really? we didn't think so... sure there were a lot of American-Africans and foreign people in that area as well as a lot of out of travelers stopping by the Waffler House which was right next to Days Inn, some really odd looking people...but...nothing that alarmed us for our safety *shrugs*... "She must have never been to the worst side of Detroit, I guess"...we jokingly call ourselves "Mr. and Mrs. Dickerson of Nashville". ;)

What? oooh... the reviews... yes yes.... nothing! What a waste of $$... I was surprised, considering it a music city and all that... *raise eyebrows, shrugs*

    Mrs. Dickerson
JA: Why do I get the Ticketmaster question?
    EV: It's your band.
