I was watching E Network and a breaking news alert came on telling that Michael Jackson just suffered a heart attack. It was said that Joe Jackson said that his son (Michael) is not well.

to the guy above me that called him a pedaphile, he was acquitted of that by the way. i can't believe that you have the audacity to talk about the guy that way. he just fucking died. let him get cold before you bash him like that. have some respect. but then again by reading your posts in other threads i can tell that you are not capable of that.
"Well, you tell him that I don't talk to suckas."
Being aquitted and paying off the Planitff who then dropped the case is a little different. I am sorry for his family but to me no "celebrity" deserves any more "tears' then my family

uh huh, and OJ is still looking for the real killer too.
May he finally RIP as he never had any sense of 'peace' in his life - just upheaval and controversy followed by the same.
The man knew how to entertain for sure. He may have abused and HE certainly was taken advantaged of with the $$$ he had.
Peace Rest IN IT

actually in 2005 he was found not guilty. he settled out of court in the earlier case. i am not apoligizing for his behavior or alleged behavior. all i was saying was the making the world a better place was a little tasteless.
"Well, you tell him that I don't talk to suckas."
actually oj and mj have nothing to do with each other. mj is dead and oj is in jail.
all i was saying is let the man be buried before you start dancing on his grave and celebrating how much better the world is right now.
"Well, you tell him that I don't talk to suckas."
This. He settled with the kid and his family out of court because things would have been said during the trial that obviously wouldn't have been good. Now everyone is on TV saying how great of a person he was. He had good music in the 80's then became a creep for the next 20 years. Tell it how it is, good musician for a time, horrible person. Millions of children are cheering with glee right now
The Sentence Above Is False
Our government is the potent, the omnipresent teacher. For good or for ill, it teaches the whole people by its example. Crime is contagious. If the government becomes a law-breaker, it breeds contempt for law; it invites every man to become a law unto himself; it invites anarchy. - Louis Brandeis
yeah, he had contraversy, but really, are we ever going to find out the truth? no.
so im not going to call him a pedophile, and im not going to call him innocent.
he had great music, and it sucks that no one ever left him alone.
I remember my parents, both gone on--much, much older than myself (me 6, my dad 60), going through this from their generational standpoint. Their lives, their times, their friends...all started to fall away. At first it was uncomfortable and shocking. Later it was depressing. If you are "lucky" and live long and prosper, you will live to see everything you have known and, sometimes, cherished pass away. Life has an immediacy most of us don't get.
One thing that has distinguished Pearl Jam as a band is that they have repeatedly demonstrated that they do get this immediacy. It's one of the reasons I've loved them long.
Here today. Here tomorrow? No one knows. Live well. Treat others well. Cherish the moment.
As to Jackson himself--I loved his dancing and much of his music. I disagree the reason pop sucked was because of him or people musically similar to him. I'm not saying this to incite anything, but I can hear Thriller play in my head right now, but I honestly don't remember how Smells Like Teen Spirit went. I feel like the importance of Nirvana was that they were game changers, not that they were particularly amazingly memorable songwriters/lyricists. Vedder is a better lyricist than Cobain was. It's a good thing Nirvana were game changers--the game did need to be changed. And it needs to be changed again. And it will be changed again by people who are mostly much younger than most Pearl Jam fans. Hopefully, those people will have a respectful attitude toward those who came before, for generations of musicians always stand on the shoulders of people who came before them.
