I thought you just had to be unemployed in Seattle and not be a fan of the band to be in their corporate bullshit videos. snifle, snifle. "Mom, the meatloaf!".
This is a little too late on the bands part. They should of just flown out club members to be in the videos. I mean, I pay $20 a year for something.

Really?! Corporate bullshit videos? How in the hell do you have internet access? I'm sure you've given money to "corporate bullshit" companies.
So, what band short of Fugazi, isn't a corporate sell-out in your terms? You can't claim any band that sells any CDs or vinyl. Those products are made from petroleum products which come from "corporate bullshit" oil companies. Oh... same goes for cassettes and 8-tracks.
You can't even endorse bands that sell their music out of the trunks of their cars. "Corporate bullshit" car companies and "corporate bullshit" oil companies so the car can go from place to place.
Get off your high horse and realize that somewhere, somehow, someone is going to make a profit for the products they provide or the work they do. It's not a bad thing.

This paragraph represents the smart-ass side of me: Based on the another thread that discusses the difficulty in making last minute plans for last minute announcements, maybe they didn't want to stress us out and instead found people that wouldn't need to ask for permission to take vacation from work or incur travel expenses to participate. Maybe they are using this as a way to increase their fan base. Maybe they are looking to replace some of the current 10c members that are greedy and disrespectful on the board. i dunno.
This paragraph represents my frustration with entitlement: The 10c admins will send you a list of what your $20 membership benefits are if you ask them. I don't recall seeing anything about participation in commercials in there.
This paragraph is a serious question, no attack, no anything other than my curiousity. With all due respect: If you're upset about the "corporate" part of the purpose of the video, why would you want to be in it?
Just send in a video of yourself aggressively eating cereal with a helmet on.
Damn it. You took my idea
