me too. at the earliest in any case.
i definitely do not foresee any tweets while ed is still on tour, and that takes us right up to independence day, so i think july 6th, possibly.....tho may well be later. i do hope for some news in july tho - maybe even ticket sales - would be most welcome!

I just think it is comming sooner than later. Ed shows will be done. The single day passes for the festivals have been on sale for a little while. Holiday is over and most people will be back. August dates are not far off. They mentioned the single being out in July already.

I doubt that would be the case. Both announcements are pretty huge and the last thing they want is for a double announcement that leads to one event overshadowing the other. I'd guess two announcements, a week or so apart.

Is it safe to assume that since you say "both" that the 2 announcements will be
    1. The West Coast tour
    2. The East Coast tour/Philly shows

Probably one for albulm news and one for West Coast dates, and hopefully South. I think the Philly shows will be announced last, and maybe not until close to the show dates.

man, i hope you are wrong about that!
i really hope ALL tour dates get announced simultaneously, crazy idea i know...;)
it would be FAR easier to know/plan with ALL the info out there. i am truly hoping we get an announcement say july 6th...perhaps for the album news.....maybe a week later for the FULL touring schedule for the rest of the year.....and i would really like the ticket sales to happen before the end of july, simply for my own selfish reasons since august/september are my hellishly busy time at work.....so little/no time to try for tix at work, and impossible to call out sick/vacation to try for tix at home.

I hope I am wrong too, but if the Philly shows are special and just for the closing of the spectrum, and the only east coast dates, I think they will be announced at the end.

i fully admit my memory is shit for this type of thing, bu ti do believe that 2003 was the lest time we really got a FULL announcement of ALL shows planned, and a nice advance notice/sale before the first show. idk what exactly has gone differently since in the planning process...but you bet.....it would be nice to return to that early notice system, and being all-inclusive of all shows. mid-july for late september-early october shows would suffice nicely, along with the abover fore-mentioned FULL tour announcement. 8-)

I don't think that we are going to see extensive touring in September/October. So I think that all remaining shows will be announced in one show. My guess is that the tour will start in Seattle on Sept 22 (as rumoured) and end in Philly on or around October 29th. That equates to roughly 20 shows in addition to the already announced ACL show and taping. I doubt that they would split that announcement in to 2 unless the plan is to play more shows after Philly and split them up in two two mini legs with a two week break towards mid-October.

The album should be its own announcement.

So, yes, my guess is all remaining NA shows in 1 announcement and the album in another. But it is just a guess :)

    oh well...perhaps you're right, wtf do i know....hahaha.
either way tho, it just seems we got MORE info at once back then, even if not all of it.
2003 was my first tour too, and i wasn't really reading/posting here much in 2002, moreso after the 2003 shows....so that may also come into play for me memory-wise. i just remember my 3 local shows were all announced at once. they did add in my 4th show that year, holmdel....but that was definitely an 'added' show, to make up for overselling MSG 2 that year, and all worked in my favor....so perhaps my very positive memories of it all.....
