Had my surgery, can't really use my voice, and have been on a steady diet of jello, pudding, ice cream, scrambled eggs, popsicles, and yogurt. And a lot of ice chips and a shitload of percocets.

Here's to keeping it off and losing more the right way!!!
I love to turn you on

Uh... wow. Please be more careful! Except for the yogurt and eggs, your diet is pretty poor. Also, 12lbs in one week isn't healthy either. Healthy weight loss is 1-2 lbs/week. Don't be surprised if you gain some of it back; I'm not trying to be a downer, really, just trying to be helpful! Best of luck with everything!

Congrats on the weight loss and glad your feeling better. And yes to losing more the right way. Myself I have lost 25 to 30 lbs in the last 2 months. I'm keeping it up and can't wait to drop more weight. :)

Be careful. When you loose that much weight that fast your metabolism changes so that when you eat again its much easier to gain that weight plus more back..

    good luck!

what kind of surgery did you have?
  • Steve DunneSteve Dunne Posts: 4,965
thanks for all the well wishes all...the reason for the weight loss is because i can't really chew or swallow. i had throat surgery...tonsils, adnoids, uvula...all in all i have 12 double ply stitches in there, so eating is definitely an issue. hell i can barely talk.

i know losing this weight so suddenly is cause for alarm, but i needed to lose it anyway, and previous to the surgery i lost almost 10 lbs. because of a good diet and exercise - the right way. but this last week has been a serious loss, and i'll take it!!!
I love to turn you on

    congrats man!
Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
    Butthead: Huh huh.

Wow, that's a lot of weight to lose in one week. But yeah, congrats. Just be sure to incorporate exercise in your routine.
These cuts are leaving creases. Trace the scars to fit the pieces, to tell the story, you don't need to say a word.

wow, how scary! but i guess too, a good wake up call. impressive how you turned it all around, really worked on yourself. 50 pounds in 3 months is VERY impressive! good for you, and wish you the BESt of health!

i assume you are also watching what you eat, a much more healthy diest along with the exercise? i can't imagine that much loss w/o a balance between diet and exercise. again, kudos!

jaysus man you're my new hero! that's awesome! i've got a ways to go to get down to 215, but with this recent weight loss, it's certainly attainable once i get my 'chops' back. i plan on running it off, along with eating better. thanks for posting and good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • When i had spinal fusion surgery on my neck, i went into the hospital at 208 lbs, and came home a few days later at 193. I basically ate nothing at all for 3-4 days, as my throat was so banged up from being taken out and put back in
