I really want to see these guys live but I don't think it's gonna happen this year again. Sometimes I really hate living in Texas.

And I will be picking up the album today!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

i saw them in april and they fuckin rocked! Mike Watt opened for them, their drummer was like half his age but he could wail!

Farm is great. I've been really impressed with the last 2 albums (Beyond & Farm)... it's not very trendy for a band to get back together and put out two remarkable records, let alone one.

first time listen, wasn't paying too much attention but what a ripper of an album!!!
  • another great album, can't decide whether i prefer farm or beyond since the original trio got back together.

Possibly the greatest reunion ever! It's not very often that people that used to (very publicly) hate each other can get back together and really make it work. Beyond, Farm, some awesome live shows - let's hope they stay together this time!

I think J saw me type that yesterday because i was listening to the album today and it just hit me. J melted my face and some of the lyrics started settling in on some fo the songs..... This one is much better then i first gave it credit for.

farm is really good. i thought beyond sounded like a reunion album, like they set out to make it sound like the sst years. this one just sounds like jay and lou gave us the 12 best songs they've written lately, which i prefer.

Indeed, Farm is a great album....I love Jay Mascis. I think I'm enjoying it more than Beyond. Said the People is an incredible jam.

I think it is pretty humorous that they recalled ther european release of the album because it was "too loud"

Who are they kidding if you've ever been to a Dinosaur Jr show you know it is never too loud as far as their standards are concerned!

Yeah I meant I hate living in Houston....I have to go to Austin or Dallas pretty much everytime I want to see a band. It's alright though, they're coming to Houston in Oct. so I'm happy now.

I think Farm is excellent. I've been listening to it quite a bit.
Just yesterday I booked a ticket to see them in New Haven in October and am very excited for the show. I saw them 3 times total between the Green Mind & Where You Been tours. This will be my first time seeing them with the Mascis/Barlow/Murph lineup. Actually I'm thinking about seeing them in Cambridge & Philly as well. Bob Mould is one of the openers in Philly.
Dinosaur Jr. is opening for Sonic Youth at Terminal 5 on November 21. I'd love to check out that show too.

Ha ha! I saw them last week at the Junction in Cambridge (UK) and can verify your comments...it was EXTREMELY loud! My ears were ringing for days. Had a great time in the mini-pit that formed, although I nearly lost an All Star during Freak Scene!
