They say the U.S. is provoking a war between the two Koreas.
MY QUESTION IS THIS......
1. Why didn't any liberals in here post this?
2. If you are a liberal, then what are your thoughts on the matter?
3. What would your opinion be if this happened under Bush? And is that different then the current situation?
My opinion.....I am kind worried. I think N. Korea looks at Obama as a week President. I dont think for a second that they would have made that comment under the Bush Administration. Not that I agree with all that Bush did, but many countries were affraid of him in the sense that they knew he would not take a comment like thiat lightly.
Your thoughts?

    its ridiculous.

North Korea may want to wipe us out, but they don't have the ability.

probably a mistranslation anyway, like they did with ahmedinajad and his statements about Israel.

Not sure why you are giving this a Obama/Bush slant... Kim Jong Il and North Korea have been threatening South Korea, the US, US forces and George Bush directly (in 2001) for the last decade... It's not really worth posting because it's like the cocky kid on the schoolyard who talks a bunch of shit to act tough, but never really does anything.

To say that they wouldn't of made that threat under Bush is blatantly ignoring the fact that they have... but I guess that wouldn't give you a chance to throw partisan shots against Obama or liberals.

    To answer your questions:
    1. Although a moderate, I read this article earlier and didn't feel it was important enough to comment on. I understand that the North Koreans are fucking loonie pieces of shit and anyone who takes them for what they say is... an idiot at best.
    2. Reference No. 1.
    3. North Korea is to the United States as North Korea has ALWAYS been to the United States. They don't give a shit who's in office. The only ones who care who's in office are the political simpletons that believe everything is cast either in the Blue or the Red of our political system. That is, to take a global situation and dumb it down to terms they understand.. Liberals vs. Conservatives.

    1. Becos nobody gives a shit what kim says. The guy's like a middle-aged man in a mid-life crisis, desperately trying to compensate for the fact that his country doesn't mean shit.
    2. My thoughts are he's full of shit and we ought to call his bluff. The second he launched a missile, his whole country would be obliterated. Obama or no Obama.
    3. I'm glad as hell he wasn't saying this crap while Bush was in office. Dubya'd no doubt hatch some ill-planned military clusterfuck that would keep our already depleted military tied up for decades. Maybe he is testing Obama, but I think Obama is up to the challenge.

i am a liberal and i can't be bothered with the koreas.

i am waiting for some of the conservatives to start demanding we give freedom to the north koreans and the iranians. we dont have the means to do this, and if kim does anything he knows he will get his ass whooped, although our military is spread so thin around the world he might think this is his best shot he will ever have to give the US a bloody nose.

Are "liberals" supposed to post everything in the news on this board? Kat needs to make that a sticky.
