That's what I first thought also
  • make sure you ask for detailed pictures. some of those posters have some serious creases and roll bends based on what i can see in those photos.

And since he knows what they are worth ....I trust he will be selling them for what Frank sold them for! ;)

don't think so ... unless the signatures were removed somehow .... Frank signed them in the middle of the print.

Further, if these are from Frank Black's website, I think that kinda sucks. I know a few of us who really wanted some of those posters for display purposes and tried real hard to get them, only for it to come about that people who were lucky enough to snag a bunch are reselling them here on the fan boards for what I'm sure will be around Eb averages (turning about a 2000% profit or more in the process) . I know it's a secondary market, he's well within his right, you would do it too blah, blah, blah,. I still just think it sucks.

well, then it's a good bet ... I got 2, signed in the middle of the print.

this will have a high ROI, these prints were $8 - 12 each from Frank's site.

OP, be a pal, donate a small % of your profit to CCFA or Surfrider foundation or the like.

if you need more pics...pm me.

i love how people assume things and say how much of a *** i am for selling the posters.

the point i was making about saying "i know what they are worth" is that i didn't want people PM'ing me and saying $10 ...if no one wants them on the board i will sell them on eBay.. just thought i'd give the "true" fans the option first.

can we get a confirmation either way as to whether these were purchased from Frank Black recently?

It's really a shame if these were from Black Francis (much cooler name than Frank Black btw). Oh well, they're yours to do whatever you want with.

    AGREED

not making any assumptions but if that is the case then this is really uncool

im still totally bummed about missing out on those posters - by about 2 minutes... just seems like a huge coincidence that its all the posters frank had available and they turn up here within the same time frame it wouldve taken to mail them from frank to the buyer and theyre in rough shape like those from frank... but stranger things have been known to happen

and i guess thats the way of the world...

should of asked for the ones with Frank's sigs on them ... mine are in excellent shape!

sorry to all that didn't get any, I just got really lucky. I'd trade the 2 I got for a Mansfield Octopus .... otherwise, these are keepers.

(edit - I mean the 98 mansfield, not the 2008 ... thought I'd add that before people start offering up last year's print)

how bout a nice boston '06 whale and '08 octopus instead? ;)

i think id rather them a little beat up (if it frames out) than have franks sig all over it

yeah, but if people have a 98 mansfield that they have and won't frame and want 2 prints from shows they adore, you never know. just throwing it out there. Believe me, I'm MORE than happy to keep these.

I take it you are not interested in responding to my pm. Thought maybe you would be interested in helping out a friend of mine that is a true PJ fan and had a close call recently.
