  • I was wanting to buy one of the PJ 2008 bootlegs but don't know which one to buy. I'm limiting myself to "1" purchase right now... you tell me, which one should it be and why :)

out of the 9 shows i saw, hartford takes the cake. its funny because i thought hartford 06 was a pretty weak show, especially coming off the night before in albany which was definitely stellar.
i have a paper here that entitles me to fast track status
  • 2 shows @ MSG

2 shows in Mansfield (1st time front row, shook Ed's hand, he gave me a pick, scored a tambourine)

2 Ed solo shows in Boston

(and i'm still kicking myself in the ass for not doing Hartford too..but damn i needed the rest inbetween NY and Mansfield)

One of the best summers of my life!! (musically that is)

this summer....2 Ed solo shows in Albany ( had an awesome time!!)

    0 Pearl Jam shows!! :( :( :( (wish i had the money to make the Chi-town shows! :x )

it def sucks not having a PJ show to go to this summer so i'll have to break out the bong and listen to the boots of last years shows and revisit them in my mind...

but here's to a new album and hopefully plenty of shows to attend next year..plus i'm looking forward to meeting more of you guys as well..I love you all(well..most of you anyway  )!....but man...HOW FUCKING AWESOME WAS LAST SUMMER!!!:mrgreen:

as awesome as last summer was, i got to say, for me summer of '06 takes the cake...started in June with my first PJ show ever!...it was the first east Rutherford show...then in August it was CSNY at Jones Beach with their Freedom of Speech Tour...then in September it was The Who at Jone's Beach for a little pre-release tour for Wire and Glass (was that the album name or the name of the mini rock opera that's part of the album? i forget)...my dad (who was at all 3 shows with me, ended up losing his battle with cancer that November...my dad's favorite band was The Who, they were his last concert. It was an amazing last summer with my dad (both musically and with other events not music related) who i miss very much...

that is why summer of '06 was the best summer ever

06 was great for me too. Boston II was my 1st PJ show in 11.5 years. 08 was fantastic also seeing both shows in Mansfield and Eddie solo II @ the Opera House in Boston. 09 has started off nicely with Albany II (just an aside, I had never been to Albany and must say it was a nice town!!). All that being said, if/when PJ plays on the West Coast this Autumn, 09 will be the "year to beat"!!
