  • hartford was better than both of last year's msg shows combined. i know a lot of people were into the back-up singers, but they sucked the life out of the songs they were on for me. mike singing and ace playing was fuckin sick though!

Wow, where did a year go?

Both nights were incredible but night 2 was best for me as I won seats 11 rows back. I have never understood how as I thought the lottery was only for rows 1 and 10. It was one of the best nights of my life! I'll never forget that atmosphere... I was so happy...

 I did indeed. Made a little holiday of it and stayed for 5 days (I do love New York) but yeah, the shows were the reason behind the whole trip. So worth it!

I also flew from the UK, from Scotland actually to go, however never got tickets to MSG, so me and me friend went to see them in Camden NJ instead, show was amazing, even though Camden is probally the scariest place i've ever been too!!
However.....the first night at MSG was still the most amazing night of my life. Me and my friends decided that since we had travelled all the way to New York, we might as well try our luck at trying to catch a swatch at Pearl Jam as they went in to MSG, so we spent the day outside talking to security guards and staff and stuff trying to get some inside knowledge!....unfortunalty the closest we got was to a dog that we were told belonged to eddie...oh well.
We did however got chatting to some of the guys from the Verizon Mobile recording studio bus, and the street team. Ended up chatting for ages to two of the guys from the bus, as they were out having a smoke. after sharing our story of travelling to NY, and out time in NJ one of the guys Erik, went on the bus and came back out with one of Stones pick, and gave us it (my friend kept it as she suggested cutting it in half, i said i would rather she just had it than destroying it!)
Later that night we went back to MSG to soak up the pre gig atmosphere....after the show we went back to the bus, and got a tour, had some drink, went to a local bar, and ended up missing our flight home! so glad Pearl Jam were playing a second night as we had to wait another 24hours before the next flight home! so went back to the bus the second night too, i was particuarly glad to have some more time to hang out with someone (Erik) that i felt a real connection with. i must point out now that nothing below the belt happened on the bus! just good old fashion conversation!
anyway....i kept in contact with the guy, and recently went back to america to spend some time with him and meet his friends and family.
MSG was a special night for me cause i started a relationship with a guy that i have fallen in love with, even though we have a great big fucking ocean between us! one year ago today, my life changed forever!

Great times, thanks to the band and all the fans out there that made these nights so great. Looking forward to more...
