Philadelphia Flyer in a PJ Shirt

I know Jeff Carter is the guy on the far left, but who's the PJ fan. I've see his face before, just can't put a name to it.

    Man in the middle is Lupul and THE MAN in the PJ shirt is the one and only Mike Richards - aka THE FUCKING MAN. Well, aside from Chase Utley.

    Looks like their hanging out at my favorite extension of McFadden's at the Ballpark.

    I thought that was Richards, but it looked different from his headshot on the website, but I felt like it was him. Oh well, add him to the list of NHLer PJ fans.

    I was next to like 1/2 of the team at The Tragically Hip show in Philly last month. Some players were really boozing, but it was nothing too out of line.

    I live in Buffalo too and I see those guys out from time to time and its no better or worse.

    gotta love Holmgren ripping the players for drinking - pot meet kettle. Not only is Holmgren a recovering alcoholic but he complains about players drinking then goes out and signs a goalie who was accused of partying too much in Ottawa. and they wonder why they haven't won a Cup in 34 years.

    Maybe thats why Homer doesn't want them to drink so much because he saw what it did to his life and how hard it was to over come it ? The old parenting guidance dont do what i did

    The Emery signing is a guy (Homer) giving someone else a 2nd chance in the NHL..he saw how the Flyers hung by him and gave him chances and he's trying to return the favor to someone

    Will it work out ? Who knows but if you've had anyone close to you or in your family with a dependency problem you know how nice it is to give someone a 2nd chance...plus if he does perform well what a steal at $1.5mil

    Yup...I was eyeing up the background to see where they were and it is at the ballpark !

    His shoulders have healed enough to hold a beer !!

    First off they should be in the business of winning not giving guys 2nd chances. It's a long path from drinking at 22 or 23 years old to being an alcoholic. Just because Carter and Richards enjoy the night life doesn't mean they are going to end up like Holmgren.

    2nd Emery signing is only for one year - if he has a monster year you are looking at finding another goalie next year. It's a bad deal for the Flyers as it has no long term solution. the organization as a whole doesn't value goalies and they've been paying that price for that attitude since that sob Clarke was in charge. will they ever learn their lesson?

    Yeah, I'm glad they put that extension on. Outside but not in the sun, nice flat screens, and more bar space!
