Dennis Lehane is such a great author. Hopefully they do the book justice. Thankfully it has one of the best directors around.

I love Dennis Lehane, but I was pretty disappointed with that book. It wasn't awful for what it was, but it felt kinda like fluff I guess. No real characters, it was all about the set up, mood, and twist. Still, I think it will make a great movie for those very reasons. And the preview sure as hell looks impressive!

His Gennaro/Kenzie books are incredible and Mystic River blows the (nonetheless excellent) movie out of the water. I can't wait for Given Day to come out in paperback!

I saw the trailer when I went to the movies. It looks good, I was intrigued.
These cuts are leaving creases. Trace the scars to fit the pieces, to tell the story, you don't need to say a word.

comes out Friday....the reviews are strong

    Should be a good one
  • Loved the book...can't wait to see the film. This will be Scorcese's ode to Hitchcock.

I was slightly intrigued when I started seeing previews for it in the theater like two years ago....usually not a good sign when the release date is pushed back, but I guess we'll see..
