I enjoyed the special features. There's not much too them, maybe 2 ten minutes clips. Mostly just interviews with the director, actors, and maybe 30 seconds of Ed. One special feature is about all of the characters in the film, the other is about the story, places they traveled to, and a little bit about the soundtrack.
It's not much, but then again, It's only an extra 5 bucks.
I say its totally worth it for the second disc if you enjoy seeing the "whole" perspective of the movie (character sketches, storyline info). I really am glad I purchased the special edition version, even though I would have loved the wonderful Penn/Vedder interview added on there.
I say go for it.
