3:25 mark.. LBC's beginning sounds pretty much like it.
Nothing big.. I was just listening to Collective Soul.. and noticed the sound similarity.

Why would anyone listen to Collective Soul? You might as well pull out your Gin Blossoms album while you're at it.0

I'm just teasing. Both of those songs annoy the shit out of me. They might be the first band responsible for stealing Eddie's "drawl" and using it in a totally annoying way. (This was before the days of Creed.)0 -
i love december, but i dont see the comparison?Christchurch, New Zealand 20090

They were a pretty good live band back in the day. All of their stuff had a harder edge to it live than on record, for some reason. At one point, about 95ish, they were covering "Crazy Train" regularly -- and it didn't seem all that out of place.
Let's see the Gin Blossoms pull THAT off.everybody wants the most they can possibly get
for the least they could possibly do0 -
GREAT SONG..."...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".
"..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."
“..That came up on the Pillow Case...This is for the Greek, With Our Apologies.....”0 -

Yeah, they're original guitarist could rip. The solo in Shine is pretty awesome. I don't remember them ever bein lumped in with the Candleboxes and Bush's of the world til more recently.0 -
I dont hear it at all. Isnt that just light guitar picking or something? The sound is the same, but the notes are not the same.
Its like saying wishlist and LBC sound the same.5/28/06, 6/27/08, 10/28/09, 5/18/10, 5/21/10

don't really hear the comparison.
Collective soul is a great live band though. They actually are better live than on albums. Ed Roland's voice sounds better live as it seems to be too overproduced in the studio on some of the songs.
Collective souls hits include:
Shine
December
The world I know
Precious Decleration
Listen
blame
Heavy
run

Get their greatest hits cd if you want to check them out just saying. But they are a great live band. Haven't seen them since Ross left though.PJ: 10/14/00 06/09/03 10/4/09 11/15/13 11/16/13 10/08/14

I caught a Collective Soul concert on AXS-TV recently. It was from 2012 and they played Dosage in its entirety (well, except for the one track that was sung by the guitarist who left the band). I bought their first two albums in the 90's and didn't really follow them after that. I found a copy of Dosage on CD for 95 cents at one of my local record stores, and I'm really digging it so far. Apparently they worked really hard on this album because the previous one didn't do so well, and I think it really shows in the production.

Disagree. Love Collective Soul though, and December was one of my favourite songs for a long time.
