Lilly and I had the time of our lives the last two nights. I am grateful for the love and respect Eddie showed my daughter.

Thank you for all of the compliments and love that you showed her, as well.

And I thank Lily for signing my poster for my 10 yr old... she was pretty stoked when I got home today and showed it to her. Going to get it framed and up in her room.

You guys were great... something she'll always remember.

    Peace,

Hey Lily's mom... glad Lily had a great time on both nights!

Hubby and I got to Ryman at 5:30pm Wednesday and while we were waiting outside, I pointed out Lily and her mom (at least I assumed that was you) to hubby because I was missing our kids and how cute she was to be going to the show at such a young age!

I had no idea what had happened earlier that day and I was watching you and Lily holding conversation continuously - I loved this because a lot of times I see parents holding short conversations with their children, not really looking at them.

One of my pet peeves with parents when their children are around - if they were asked questions, the parents would cut in and explain. I'm like... your child can speak for himself/herself! Jeez... and don't try to correct his or her information, either.

Anyway, I loved how you two were looking each other in the eyes and talking... how many people really do that? Take a closer look and you'd notice. ;)

By the way, our oldest son Tyler would have been named Lillian Luciana had he been born a girl. ;)

Glad Lily had a wonderful time both nights!!

Can someone explain the Lilly story please? All I know is that she's a young girl who went on stage for Hard Sun. Couldn't find anything in the Nashville 2 fanviews either.

    Much appreciated.

On Wednesday night, Eddie said that he had met a young girl outside earlier in the day named Lilly and that she wanted his autograph so he signed her book right after Mickey Mouse. When he was telling the story a lady in front of us yelled out that that was her daughter. After the next song he asked where Lilly was and the lady and her husband said we're right here. Eddie asked for the house lights to come up so he could see and found them and asked if Lilly was there and they said no. He then asked if they'd bring her the next night and the guy said "Yeah, if you'd like her to be here, we'll bring her but it's not the same Lilly" lol At this point, Eddie kind of threw his hands up and said "what the fuck? well, you've got me on a technicality cause I don't know her last name" lol During this point an adorable little girl about 10 or so made her way down the aisle beside us and raised her hand and said "I'm Lilly" and we were all pointing at her. Eddie saw us and said there she is and said hi to her and thanked her for coming out and everyone was cheering cause he finally tracked her down. (I think he may have said the next song was for her, but I don't remember exactly ???)

anyways, the next night, he mentioned Lilly again and mentioned that he got to hang out with her that day and that she had drawn him a beautiful picture and they had a fun time together and then right before Hard Sun he asked her to come down and he brought her up on stage and gave her a hug and then escorted her over to sit in the big feet chair that he has on stage while they performed the song. She was having the time of her life! During the end when they are repeating the chorus, Eddie brought the microphone back to her and had her stand up on the chair so that they were eye to eye and had her help him sing the chorus. After the song he bowed to her and made the gesture for everyone to acknowledge her, but we were already on top of it. Thus Lilly became famous!

It was an awesome moment for her and her family and I know they'll always remember it thanks to Ed being the awesome, kind man that he is.

    Lillys Mom,
I was just wondering if you and your daughter were the ones that I gave our extra tickets to on the 18th. I was telling a friend of mine that I gave an extra set to somebody, and I thought it might've been to the young lady who was later up on stage, and her mother. Either way, glad to hear and witness some of your experience at the show.

You're welcome. It was a really cool thing for Eddie to do, but that's why he's the best

As Lilly went back to her seat Wednesday night, Ed said something to the effect of stick around after the show and we can have a beer together (laughing). I guess she'd opt for cola... Sorry I missed her assistance with Hard Sun Thursday. Glad she had a good time - pretty cool of Eddie to make a special moment for a new fan.
  • Thank you for that! It brings bacl all the happy memories!!

  • I was there on the 18th and it brought tears to my eyes to watch her excitement while up on stage. I kept watching her face as she smiled (at you, i assume), she would watch Ed from behind, she knew the words, she'd smile real big, smile some more. She was so cute. You could tell her heart was beating 1,000 times a minute.

All I could think about was how Ed just made Lilly's day. Oh - I also thought "I can't believe no cameras - someone better be recording this for her!! They better be taking pictures!!!"

Make sure she knows that she just lived the dream of thousands of fans. We thank you and your daughter for that experience.

  • Pearl Jam will be in Nashville on April 2! Lilly is excited. She is 21! She talked to him in 2012 in St.Louis and that was the last time. This concert will bring on a lot of memories.
