did anyone get to meet Eddie in Nashville?

most folks I talked to were pretty sure that Eddie was in town for at least 3 days, so surely someone around here was bound to run into him. he wound up stiffing the people waiting outside the Ryman for him after the shows both nights. has he been doing that in other cities? I would have thought he would've walked out to say hello at least one of the nights he was here. but as old as the Ryman building is, I'm sure they have pretty secret ways and several places to sneak people out. but it was cool to hear him tell the story about paddling at the Percy Priest Lake while he was here. it's cool he actually went out of his way to do something fun rather than just hang around downtown the whole time. Percy Priest is right by my house, and I try to go there as much as I can in the summer. and on the one day I didn't go..... he's out there!

    Saw him going in for the sound check night 1. There was a paparazzi guy there with a super zoom lens that climbed on a trash can and fell down right as Ed came off the bus. It was GREAT! That was the same time the now FAMOUS Lily got her autograph.

    he talked to a couple of people outside the hotel yesterday before he left for the Ryman.. he switched it up and took an SUV to and from the Ryman after last nights show. i wouldn't say he stiffed the fans by any means. he goes so far out of his way and doesn't have to do anything he does.

    on my lunch break i saw him getting on the bus to head the piercy priest lake. i'm sure some people ran into at Gruhn's etc..

    I hung around with hubby so he could have the opportunity to ask Ed something that he had been thinking about for a long time... so we stayed around but "he" (whether he was really in it or took off in another vehicle) never came out of the bus and it took off at 2am.

    But we weren't upset at all. I was just bummed out for hubby. He was really fine about it, though - said no big deal. It wasn't really for nothing...it was fun just hanging out together and talking for hours.

    Then he went to the show by himself last night... and he decided to give it another shot. He stayed around till the bus left at about 2am, too... no EV. He was like ah oh well. Maybe someday... perhaps on his next solo tour (hope he does it again in the future), he might have that chance. Who knows? :)

    Not me...when the bus headlights came on after Ryman I, I hid behind hubby's back...just in case EV came out. :P

    Right now...we're pretty sure he might have left in another vehicle. That would make sense, I suppose.

    Haha... that guy fell down the trash bin... awesome!!!! :mrgreen:

    you know Ed's bus was never at the Ryman night 2 right? The bus stayed at the hotel before and after the show. He took an SUV out of the ryman around midnight. Can't believe no one ran into him around town.

    I met him outside the hotel the second day. It was just Lily, her mom, one other guy and I. Lily gave him the drawing she made him and he was very thankful. The other guy and I shook his hand and he gave us both picks. Pretty incredible couple of days in Nashville!

    What the hell? i wanted outside of his hotel the first day and his bodyguard was like Ed gets really pissed when ppl wait outside of his hotel. He isn't taking pictures or signing autographs at the hotel.

    Were you in the bottom lobby by the front door? I was staying in the hotel, and was just up at the top of the steps while this was going on. I had been waiting on my husband to come down for a while, and had spoken with Lily's Mom a bit outside and in the lower lobby. I saw him coming off the elevator and going down, but I was too nervous and just turned my back! I am glad he stopped for them and Lily got her picture taken with him. Wish I had just stayed down there and gotten a pick for my son!!! :)
