Anyone know what this tattoo is from?

Can't seem to find the source from any of the regular album jackets or artwork. Anyone know what this is from?

Sorry if tat posts are verboten. I'm new around here...

    The one at the very bottom is on the cover of "Single Video Theory".

    Okay, so that's the tape reel. The 45 insert is from Spin the Black Circle. The five element symbols I think go together, as I have seen one other tat with those same symbols, on that PJ tattoo site.

    I've always wondered, are the 5 element symbols (as they relate to Pearl Jam) referring to the "5 horizons" in the song Black, or is there some other significance?

    I feel like I'm missing something obvious. Am I?

    In the PJ tattoo thread, another dude has a tat of the elements. A connection to the five horizons seems logical. Still not sure where the art comes from though.

    They come from an old 10C shirt design. I'm not sure if they have significance beyond that. There was a little quote on the shirt too, but I don't have the info on me.

    As previously mentioned, a few are from a 10C shirt...I've got it somewhere...

    White t with, I believe, only 3 red symbols...but I may be mistaken

    Yeah, I've seen it on shirts before. Just wondering if there is a significance beyond that. A lot of the time the art is connected to the music some how.

    Hey! That's MY tattoo!! :mrgreen:

    I tell people there are three things going on there:

    Pearl Jam (five elements)

    My wife's name (C-O-D-I-E) within the symbols

    and orange and black for my (sucky) SF Giants. :D

    The words on the t-shirt are "the fifth element is the basis both of sound and of hearing. particles of the finest elements, mainly ether, make up the mind." The "fifth element" is also called quinta essentia" by ancient Greeks...they thought it was (a)ether....from those words, we got quintessential and ethereal :ugeek: . Here's another pic, with Japanese kanji of the same thing...
