after getting divorced I decided to not change my name back... thought it was a step backwards... and my maiden name sucks.
then after the diagnosis of my dad having cancer I decided I wanted to do something special for him.... (still thinking of a tattoo that reminds me of him).... but after a lot of thought I decided to change my name back to my maiden name. It'll be something he and I can share again.
Thanks for listening.

Definitely not a step backwards. It was a flawed situation from what I've read on here. Going back to your name is moving forwards IMO.
world fucking champs!!!
My parents divorced when I was 20, and my mom still has my last name and it seems a little awkward to me.
(I never even took my husbands name...thank goodness)
Neither has my wife...hmmmm I'll not read anything into that
Good idea...
Actually, the only reason I didn't is because it was too much of a pain in the ass. Seems like a silly tradition to (as does marriage.......now anyway)
Haha true and dont worry life is gonna get sweeter by the day for ya...trust me
