I don't know the exact numbers, but I'm pretty sure it'll be able to. My roommate just bought one a few months ago. He hasn't towed anything yet, but I would highly doubt that it would not be able to.

if you get the time......would you talk to your friend and ask him if he plans on pulling anything?

He's already upgraded it quite a bit. Put on a new exhaust, Air Intake, Wheels/Tires, etc. The Air Intake is a nice addition to get some extra HP though.

I was just checking it out online. You should have no prob's towing. V6 should be more than enough power to pull a camper. Are you getting the 2wd or the 4wd? Shouldn't matter but I'd go for the 4wd.Especially if you like your camping. I've got a Landcruiser and thats only a straight 6 cylinder ans thats pulled anything I've put on and has gone everywhere I wanted it to go and I've tested pretty well offroad and in the sand.
I can't go the library anymore, everyone STINKS!!

we had one until about 6 months ago & traded it in. it only takes premium gas & the blind spot is huge. aside from those things, it's a great car/suv/whatever.

Preliminary mileage numbers are 18/22 for the automatic 4x2, 16/19 for the 4x4 with manual transmission and 17/21 for the 4x4 automatic. All models offer a 5,000-pound towing capacity, and our automatic 4x4 test vehicle got to 60 mph in 7.8 seconds. Not flying, but neither does it feel slow in normal, everyday driving.

I have never driven one, but I hear the rear visibility is shite

It loks like a Rav4 on steroids. Rav4 looks like a lunchbox
