Uh yeah.
Not that i expect anyone here to care at this point.
In fact, i fully expect a good few here to support this (particularly the self-professed edgy ones who consider themselves scientifically minded, agnostic, skeptics) ,
to call me some sort of neo-luddite for being adverse,
and for being an alarmist about something that is clearly just
an indication of the awesome level of "progress" man has achieved.
MSNBC: Brian Williams Reports on Microchipped and Cashless World By 2017, with the caveat, "if that's what people want in 10 years" thrown in, at least for the cash & wallet portion.
I guess that implies, for security reasons, we should already expect to have to submit to an identity chip implant?
Who knows.
And i always thought that end of America: From Freedom To Fascism, was the "whacky" part.
Aaron Russo apparently did have a real conversation with a "Nick Rockefeller", where they discussed the elite desire of having a chipped world (moo cattle moo), like he claimed in one of his last interviews.
SHORT SUMMARY VERISION:
Yay! We don't need our wallets anymore!
Go get your chips!
"EXPERTS SAY THAT TECHNOLOGY IS HERE NOW.
THE CHALLENGE IS TO SAFE GUARD OUR PRIVACY IN A BRAVE NEW WORLD"
And you don't think they know EXACTLY what is meant by that phrase?
Aldous Huxley - Gravity Of Light
"Look at my new cardless 'ID' mom!"
"Dear Fuhrer, My new permanent ID is aweome! It is so convenient in line at work.
It IS true what you say, 'Arbeit Macht Frei'.
Hail, hail."

Aldous Huxley wrote:“There will be, in the next generation or so, a pharmacological method of making people love their servitude, and producing dictatorship without tears, so to speak, producing a kind of painless concentration camp for entire societies, so that people will in fact have their liberties taken away from them, but will rather enjoy it, because they will be distracted from any desire to rebel by propaganda or brainwashing, or brainwashing enhanced by pharmacological methods. And this seems to be the final revolution.”

If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?

True...BUT will it be a true choice or a choice along the lines of having a driver's license or other form of official ID -- where u dont have to have it unless you want to purchase something or fly on an airline, take money out of your own bank account, etc....
i for one.........do not like to fly. i only fly because my wife makes me.
as for the ability to purchase items.......it is good to live in kansas. alot of land to raise your own resources on.
