Lump in my armpit

anything to be concerned about here? It's about the size of a pea, and only hurts when I touch it. I have an appt. with my Dr. on Friday. Probably nothing

    Probably nothing.

    Good call on seeing a doc though. You never know...

    In my line of work (cancer research) this thing is more often than not "nothing".

    good luck to you... it's always good to get those things checked out as soon as you find them. Rather have them tell you it's nothing then ignore something that could worsen.

    Im sure you'll be fine... but you're doing the right thing.

    thanks. That's what i figure. i checked out one website that said 98% of these are truly nothing. Worst case scenario for most is to just have it drained

    had one of them a few years ago..
    went to doc and he said it was an infection...
    antibiotic and gone
    stress over with...i'm sure it will be something simple

    Have you been drinking more caffeine than usual? For me, it turned out that was the culprit.

    I used to get really bad eczema and that usually gave me swollen glands under my armpits.

    I had to stop using anti persp. b/c of painful lumps like that. A woman at work suggested that I switch to only deoderant. She was right. It's kind of hard to find only deoderant, many products are a mixture.
