Thanks PJ kidd...maybe I should not be looking downtown but in the U-district... Maybe the Marriott will give me a good deal..? Anyway, I appreciate your help!!
Try priceline - for a four star start your bids at about $90, less for less stars. I did this and got a nice room at the Sheraton for $90. Here are some of their special deals at the Sheraton: http://specialoffers.starwoodhotels.com ... US_SI_460&
I know Seattle hotels are not cheap...but, I would be cautious for anything listed on Aurora Ave...let's just say they have reputations for having a lot of "hourly rate guests!"
In the U-District, you might try the Hotel Deca....or, the Queen Anne Hotel (possibly motel) is the one that is across the Street from Key Arena. There is also a Silver Cloud INN on Broadway, which is walking distance from Neumos. Good Luck!
I will not lose my Faith, it's an Inside job today....
wow, family loyalty...how did i not know about this...my brother is the drummer for Kristen Ward and I had to find out about this here.....thanks bro, love you!
If I knew where it was, I would take you there....there's much more than this.

I still can't find a place to stay...I've done priceline, hotels.com, a travel agent...etc. The only place I could find for under $100/night was in Redmond...dang! Still going to the show, but need a driveway to park in...

Yah...Got the Sheraton for $164 Thursday and $109 Friday...non-refundable reservation. such is life. I got deals on the hotels in September (for b'shoot and PJ)....and FTM in May was only $90 at the Westin...and the CDN $ was 90 cents today...and I'm still hungover from last nights big bender (3.5 drinks)...so I don't care. Hubby's probably gonna kill me though...Oh well. We'll celebtrate our 17th anniversary a week early...We're gonna do the Muppets at EMP on Friday and then the SeaFair parade on Saturday before heading home... Thanks for your link, though!

Just got back, holy fuck it was amazing. I was at the very front right next to the stage on Mike's side the whole time. The dude was amazing, just totally unbelievable- literally just a few feet if not inches away from me. When he'd step out to the edge of the stage he'd be leaning right over me, giving me rocker looks and singing the lyrics while melting my face with his shredding. Got a signed poster and guitar pick. Seriously one of the best nights of my life! Not only did FTM play an awesome set, Mike and Gary Westlake played an acoustic duet before the opening act (the lovely and very talented Kristen Ward played). Mike played acoustic and sang the Rolling Stones' "Dead Flowers" and a couple others. FTM closed with "Tuesday's Gone," with everyone on stage. Great night. Thank you so much Mike and Co.! Can't wait to see you in September!

Awesome review FB, thanks for sharing! I can totally picture it in my head... I sooo wanted to go!
Still on our way home - but wanted to say OMFG that was an awesome show! Talked to Mike (and gave him a hug) about nothing in particular just before the show started and then during the FTM set he knealt right in front of me for an entire solo and we had a moment of deep eye contact and he was only about 4 inches away! It made me feel dirty ! There were two guys beside me that were just in such awe - one was such a Mike fan, and he had the time of his life and it was really sweet to watch him stand there with his jaw on the floor half the time!
My husband was at the other side of the stage taking hundreds of photos and a few times I saw him rocking out with a big grin on his face, which made me go "awwww" more than once. We were sort of celebrating our 17th anniversary (which is on Friday) early, so yeah, we had a really really ridiculously good time. It was also a lot of fun just wandering the crowd and yapping to random people. I recognized a whole bunch of folks from the backgrounds of a lot of my FTM photos! I said to Mattseattleusa, "I recognize you from cropping you out of a bunch of my photos! You're always in the background!" And now that I've met him and he's just so darned nice, I probably will think twice before removing him from my photos!
The whole show was fantastic! Kristen Ward was perfect and my hubby's in love! Her voice is soooo beautiful!
I'll provide more info tomorrow - the lightening is raging around me so I best get inside!

So glad you had a great time, no surpise though! This thunder and lightening is strange though, kind of came out of nowhere.
"I'd rather be with an animal." "Those that can be trusted can change their mind." "The in between is mine." "If I don't lose control, explore and not explode, a preternatural other plane with the power to maintain." "Yeh this is living." "Life is what you make it."
what can anybody can say about MIKE!!!!!!!!!!!just awesome!!!!

Wow....I didn't realize how worn out I am...can you guys give me a couple of days to get my thoughts and photos together...
But - one of the highlights was when Mike and Gary Westlake and (I forget her name! Sorry!) did a terrific acoustic "You Shook Me All Night Long"!
The stage at Neumo's is quite small (the whole place is rather small) and that's part of what made it so fun! There was nowhere in the venue that you didn't feel close to the stage...It was so hot in there, but wow - that almost didn't even matter...great crowd, good energy, awesome performances...just Wow!
It was awesome to chat with various band members and such - and soooo fun to meet (or see again) other message pit people!! I just love pj-related bands and all the great fringe benefits that come with them! PJ's given me so many opportunities to meet so many great people! Besides the music, what could be greater than that?
I can not say enough about this show. I was lucky enough to be in front of Mike the entire night. I loved the Gibson V's and the Fender. The Gibson Hummingbird for the accoustic set was incredible to hear.
Andrew McKeag playing with FTM was a special treat.
Thank you to the great Seattle fans that helped this nonlocal.
set list
Lights Out, Mother Mary, Doctor Doctor, Love to Love, Natural Thing, Shoot Shoot, Too Hot to Handle, I'm a Looser, This Kids, Only You Rock Me, Rock Bottom, Let There Be Rock, Tuesdays Gone/How Many
