When they reissue Binaural..

It would be kind of cool to hear a version where you don't need headphones to really enjoy. Binaural is kick ass on headphones, but not the album you want to blast in your car and sounds rather inferior on most speakers.. Is it possible to give this album more volume and range like they did with Ten or is it the way it was recorded?

Really in their catalog, its the only other album I'd like to see a redux on.

Even "Sad" a Binaural session recording sounds good mixed for Lost Dogs.

Not all of the songs are recorded Binaurally.. something like half of them are.

EDIT: Actually only five of them are..

Nothing As It Seems, Of The Girl, Rival, Sleight Of Hand and Soon Forget..

The other seven are not binaural.

Really, my problem is with Breakerfall, God's Dice, Evacuation and Grievance, all non-binaural songs.. I think they should mix these better.

    and make them binaural?

i love Sleight of Hand, that would sound awesome on a remixed version of the CD, granted its the same style as Ten, the Deluxe Edition.

I don't care what they do ust as long as they give us the full concert unlike the ten reissue.
Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight
    Sammi: Wanna just break up?

This thread made me give Binaural the headphone treatment for the first time in years. I forgot how much is actually going on with Stone's channel on 'Nothing As It Seems'. Binaural recordings sound so 360degrees, it's ridiculous.

You don't need headphones to enjoy it. Those 5 songs are just enhanced.

It's impossible to make binaural recording sound "binaural" with an open speaker system. You have to have each ear isolated with the separate tracks.

I'd put Binaural right behind Yield as PJ's best sounding album, headphones or not.

exactly. most of the times i am listening to that album is while i am driving or in my office at work. still plenty enjoyable.
  • I think, like many, that it would be cool to have the reissue be the original tracklisting. Never happen, I know.
