Does anyone have any pics of Eddie meeting the fans after Blatimore Night 1 and 2? I was there, but did not have access to a camera and would love to see some pics. Thanks!

Forget the pictures, I want DETAILS! How many people were waiting? Where did he show up? What time? What did you all talk about? I waited till maybe 3am last year at the Warner in DC for him and he showed night 2, so I'm curious to see if you had a similar experience. :)

Try this... I think you need a flickr account to view it

  • He came out around 12:45 after the show and he was holding a beer. He came and shook everyone's hand who was in line (I would say around 40-50 people or something like that). He shook mine and said "nice to meet you" and I told him it was an amazing show. It was an incredible moment. Well worth the money spent travelling from Toronto...

Hey, I am still in Baltimore right now and can't access the account (because the hotel computer doesn't allow cookies or something like that) so when I get home tomorrow I will try to view them. Will they still be there tomorrow?

    Thanks.

No he didn't sign anything and security told us he wouldn't be. They also said no cameras and no hugs, but I saw some people snapping pics.

He came around to me and shook my hand as I said that it was truly an honor to meet him and he held my hand for an extra moment and said that he was thankful. Definitely had a moment there :) And then he shook hands with my gf and said that "there are some good looking people here tonight."
Then he stood there, not 6 inches from me and proceeded to talk about how it was hard "when he was a kid" to network to find a job (in the music business). He brought up that story since someone said that they had just graduated college and were looking for a job (network engineer, like me).

    What a life experience...

He said Happy Birthday to me and if it weren't for the stupid rule he'd give me a hug and that I should "think spiritually through our handshake that we're hugging eachother. " ya it was fucking awesome...i'll post pics up in a bit

Ed was awesome!! :D along with saying happy birthday to me, he said he liked my O's hat, it was the old bird logo, and then pointed to my girlfriends shirt (the baseball ev t-shirt) and said "see i matched the colors for you guys" ;) he was so cool, awesome experience

I was the person he spoke too about unemployment (computer engineer not network engineer) on night 1. I have some pictures and even a short video of this curtosy of a fellow fan kind enough to record Ed talking to me.

I actually met him again on night 2. There were fewer fans waiting and he spoke to everyone again. He remembered me from night 1 and asked if I found a job yet. I was then able to somehow try and explain how much his music meant to me. He said he could tell just from my eyes and that he's been in my position with the musicians that shaped him.

Overall just amazing, I'm still in shock that I actually had a conversation with the man.

12:45?! That sure beats 3am! I guess he knows we're out there this year, and decides to say hi instead of drinking for 3 hrs first!

Meet him night 1 and 2 Balitmore! Shook my hand and I thanked him. I saw and heard him talkng to the guy both nights about the job. There was less people night 2 i was right in the front. The guy who had the video camera and was following Eddie around heard me ask Eddie if he got my letter. (I had given it to his secuirty guard.) So he came over and asked me what it said. I was a bit flustered and I had just meet Eddie again so I think I babbled abit.

I don't mean to sound stupid but how do you insert a picture? I see the IMG button but don't know how to get the pcitures off my phone or computer and onto the board.

Anyone know the answer to this question? I also don't know how to insert pics...

Got to meet Ed before the soundcheck for Balt 2. He wasn't signing anything or shaking hands but when my son told him it was my 50th bday, he stopped and looked at me wishing me HBD and placed his hands on his heart and then extended them to me. I asked to hear Forever Young and did. I was hesitant to post this but I think it says alot about what a genuine person he is. I had ID to prove it and a wonderful person sent me a pic of him talking to me which I will treasure always as an old PJ fan of 18 years.

who is the dude in the plaid shirt with the large camera?

I think the guy in the plaid shirt with the camera is Brendan Canty of Fugazi. He was filming for Eddie for his DC '08 concerts and sat in on drums for Hard Sun during DC2. I saw him earlier in the evening at Baltimore 2 with his camera.

That same guy was hanging outside before Eddie came out after DC 2 last year! I think he is who you say he is; other people recognized him too.
