Thanks Relayers - I'm hoping to build on yesterdays show which was IMO the best of the tour so far!

No setlist thread for the show yesterday?

    Did you try page 2?

I know that I did see it this morning.

I think setlist threads get deleted and fanviews are added/stickied.

like chicago 1 last year, this setlist is so good i feel like i'm being fucked with.

As good as Chicago 1 was, I still think Toronto 2 was the best setlist of the tour. If you take out all duplicates between the two nights you are left with:

    TORONTO 2

    Around The Bend
    Dead Man
Long May You Run (by Neil Young)
Masters of War (by Bob Dylan)
    Millworker (by James Taylor)
    You're True
    Soon Forget
    Lukin
Let My Love Open The Door (by Pete Townshend)
    Wishlist
Throw Your Arms around me w/Liam
    Patriot
Old Man w/Ed on drums Liam singing (by Neil Young)
Keep on Rockin' In The Free World (Ed by himself) (by Neil Young)

    CHICAGO 1

    Ship Song (Nick Cave cover)
    Hurt (Nine Inch Nails cover)
Here’s to the State of Mississippi
    Goodbye
    Driftin’
Hide Your Love Away (Beatles cover)
    Betterman (Lullaby version)
Someday We‘ll Go All the Way (Cubs Song)
    Parting Ways (w/ Liam Finn)
good call. toronto might have been better. i'd take hurt and ship song over the neil trifecta but patriot and millworker might tip the scales. fuckin jersey girl, though... i hate not being able to go to every show. 2 tom waits songs just isn't fair.

  • Thanks so much fellas for bringing this into our living rooms. LukinFan you must be exhausted! You have been a pretty busy mother f@#$%&!!!! What an epic night for those in attendance. Would have been killer to be at either Balt 1 or 2. Seems like the city to beat thus far (minus the crowd from night one). I wonder how they behaved tonight...

I wonder if he will bring Millworker back out of the bag. I loved his cover from Berkeley and fell in love with it when I saw it again in San Diego. Honolulu...you can't get here soon enough my Hawaiian friend!

  • My buddy who was at the show just texted me. He said Jersey Girl was NOT played. He's quite familiar with Tom Waits, so there's no way he missed it.

one last thing from our relayer:

    - No story time with Ed tonight. He wanted to dedicate the show to Liam's great uncle, but he left after Liam's set, so Eddie said, "Well, fuck them".

    - Eddie looked a little pissed with the crowd- not too many yellers, but the ones that were yelling, were very annoying.

    - Eddie took notes of some yellers' requests- then he threw it away!

It was "Open All Night" not Jersey Girl. He referenced the album he had been playing songs from every night...Nebraska by Springsteen. And there was no Girl From North Country.

Just got back from the show -- I think it should be Trouble in place of Girl from North Country.

    Other notes...

At the end of "Sometimes", people started yelling and requesting songs, so Eddie asked us to sing the last part of "Sometimes" together and afterwards said that if we're going to shout something, he'd prefer it not be shit he doesn't want to hear. Then, after the 3rd or 4th song, the yelling happened again, and he said "I think it's time for another singalong...you don't know this one....but the words are 'I'm from Baltimore and I'm an asshole'".

Someone yelled to play "Daughter" and Eddie said he didn't know that one.

In the crowd was the sister of Chris McCandless...Eddie dedicated a song to her and her family (Picture in a Frame) and said that playing the Into the Wild songs tonight were extra special because Chris's sister said how much they meant to her.
