well little man, last day of school
last day of our 'commute' together
singing songs in the car
looking for trucks, cows, buses, horses
27 miles each way, you and me
just like your sisters before you
time for a new school
closer to home, family
new friends, faces, memories
but i will miss seeing your face
your laughter, tears and wonderous, sleepy eyes
in my rearviewmirror

I love to turn you on

Well, I walk my son to school every day, 7 minutes when we are really late, more when we got ready on time.
There is something so special about him early in the morning. The things we talk about, the way he looks. This morning I just had to pour my heart out to him. He is becoming a thoughtful, passionate, funny young man and I feel like I am the luckiest mom in the world
i'm sure he feels the same way!
our jaunt to daycare is 35-40 minutes one way, so there's quite a bit of time i need to occupy with him. as seasons changed, so did the songs. he's nearing a time when he needs to be playing and not be in the car with me. plus, his older sisters will be going to his daycare for part of the day...he feels like a big kid now.
Even though I felt free of the chore of driving them, I think I missed them more than they missed me! :geek:
