Yea, I grew up and still live in western Mass. I went to RPI so I am very familiar with the Capital District. I remembered I used to go to that bar Elda's. They eat free slices of pizza when it closed. Seems like such a long time ago. Man, I am getting old.
I remember I used to play Pearl Jam all the time in the dorms and I wouldnt ever let anyone else, except occasionally play anything else. I would always say. "you guys have no clue how good this band is" And I wanted everyone to know it. Its funny that they played there in 91, i didnt get there til 97.
Elda's off Lark St?
Out of the Blue and Into the Black................Uncle Neil Philly 08 here I come!!!!
2 years ago since the Albany show. wow...goes by quick. Need a PJ fix soon. Hopefully they announce a few more shows on the East coast a little closer to Montreal. There were a lot of drinks had on the strip before going in...and the line up for beer in the show was insane.
The next morning, I met Stone in a bagel shop for breakfast... He said he'd sing a couple on the tour. I had a smile on my face for days after that.
The 03 show gets waaaaay too much crap from a lot of people because it was a short show. While the show was going on it was full of energy and I had a great time.
Bright eyed kid: "Wow Typo Man, you're the best!"

One of the best shows from the tour, only to be ruined by that damn women's voice thats all over the boot......"fucked by Pearl Jam" blah, blah, blah......
Remember the Albany peace sign campaign's 2003/2006? I wish we could have gotten that together a little better in 2006. It is discouraging to me that we still need one today.

That was a great show.
I was hoping more people would do the same thing as me that night. I printed out peace sing on a normal 8x11 inch piece of paper. I was in the six row that night and during the end of the show ed was over by my side (mike's) of the stage, so I held up my peace sign.
Ed got a glimps of it, squinted a little bit to get a better look, gave me a little nod and and gave the peace hand signal back to me! It was awesome!

I handed out about 150 in 2006. In 2003, we had a lot more of them, in the thousands. On the boot, you can hear Ed say "I got fuckin chills" When he saw them.

Troy, NY 11/05/91
The show is listed on the 10c website and others. It was at the R.P.I. Fieldhouse opening for the Red Hot Chili Peppers & Smashing Pumpkins.
I don't remember the exact setlist, it was 6 or 7 songs long, started with the Master/Slave intro tape from Ten and included Once, Alive, Jeremy & Even Flow. Eddie asked if the crowd would hurt him if he came down to swim around with them at one point. The crowd cheered as he dove in. He later signed an autograph that said "I surfed in NY!".
I had an amazing experience hanging out with the band backstage (thanks to being on the Epic Records Street Team) after their performance. Dave was super friendly & full of laughs, I talked with Jeff & Stone about MLB, had a beer with Mike and discussed Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eddie was passed out by the couch but sprang up to have an intense conversation about sports & music. Including showing us all the scrapes & bruises he got from stage diving and how they tried to pull his shorts off.

Elda's off Lark St?
Might even be in my Top 5 shows ever...
Satan's Bed & Rats were very awesome highlights, first time on the tour for those 2.
it's on lark and worst place ever.
for a big-ish venue it has the ability to feel intimate - and it did that night...
Traveling to MSG this year to see them - maybe they'll stop in Albany on the way down...
"feels like we're on a god damn date in Albany on a Friday night... Nice to meetchu"
The next morning, I met Stone in a bagel shop for breakfast... He said he'd sing a couple on the tour. I had a smile on my face for days after that.
