Did this really happen? Check out tracks 4 & 5 and try to ignore the scary picture.

They did play some shows with PJ and NY back in 93, so it is possible. First I have seen of it though.

My friend was going to see Eddie last night. Since he was in Vegas, I gave him 5 Grand to gamble with. I told him I wanted it all to go on Black. Bastard! PhillyCrownOfThorns-11-2-12

Those two songs are the band Unified Theory, which features Brad & Chris from Melon, Chris Shinn & Dave K. They put out two awesome albums.
Minneapolis 98, Chicago 00, San Fransisco 00, Fargo 03, Thunder Bay 05, St Paul 06 (night 2), Chicago 08 (EV) both nights

    Don't it make you smile?

I saw Pearl Jam and Blind Melon together in 1993 in Portland, Oregon. It was my first Pearl Jam show. They were both opening for Neil Young at the Portland Meadows, which is a horse track when it's not hosting concerts.

I don't recall Pearl Jam and Blind Melon playing together, but PJ did join Neil Young at the end for the proverbial "Rockin' in the Free World." This was the show where the 1993 Time magazine cover came from with the "angry young rockers" subhead: http://www.time.com/time/covers/0,16641,19931025,00.html

I wish I could go back in time and re-live this historic concert. Poor Shannon Hoon would be dead two years later.

Sorry, I didn't add any knowledge to your original question, just found an opportunity to reminisce. I'm really looking forward to hearing these supposed collaborations.
