I've gotten a few inquiries about straight buys, especially with the vinyl. For everyone that has sent me a message of this nature, I'll do some research and get some good prices together and will follow up with everyone later this evening.
I'm at work right now, so PM responses may be slow. Everyone will get a response tonight when I get home.
Ok, so all PMs have been replied to and I've responded via PM to several here in the thread. Good bit of interest so far in the vinyl and 2000 boots, but nothing has been claimed yet.
Cincybearcat, unfortunately, I've not been able to catch Muse live yet, but they are right at the top of my list of shows to see. The best I've done is to collect about every live show on DVD that I can find. Had I not been so wrapped up with PJ's Lolla show back in 07, I probably would have noticed that they also played that same weekend. I definitely would have spent an extra day or two in Chicago to see them, but it was weeks after the show that I noticed they were even there. Their US dates so far this year have generally been too far away for me to travel. Hopefully soon I'll see them. Topcats is a pretty small venue isn't it? When did they play there?
Well, I'm calling it a night. Tomorrow might be a fairly busy day, but everyone who writes me will get a reply as soon as I can write back.

Yes, Top Cats is TINY! On Short Vine. Played there April 2004. I was lucky, I caught Muse as an opener for the RHCP/FOO Fighters tour in 1999 and been hooked ever since. Been able to see them 9 times I think, but not since the first part of their US tour for Absolution (2006 maybe?). I too missed out on they at Lolla, hit PJ but my wife and I just had my daughter the week before so I could only ustify stepping out for 1 day.
You have to see them live...I'm sure they will be around in 2010...make it a priority, they are a terrific live act.

I know this is off topic but I saw Muse at what used to be called 'The Drink' in London, Ontario. The venue capacity was 700. Incredible show.
During my ownership, none of the CDs have been stored in the cardboard sleeves. I've used jewel cases while they've been on my shelf, and will ship the CDs in vinyl cd sleeves for protection. Most of the discs are near perfect or better condition, though a couple of them show some very light wear. Please contact me for details and availability. Listing them out would make for too long of a post here I think.
Is it bad for the CD's to store them in the Cardboard sleeves? Or is this just your preference? I've picked up a bunch of 2000 boots recently, so I am just curious.

it depend's where you store the cd's. the room tempture, climate. how you handle the cd's etc..
i personally would take them out and store them in tyvek cd sleeves.

Thanks for the info. I keep mine in the basement. Only handled them when I was putting them onto my Ipod. Definitely going to look into the sleeves. Thanks again.
Cardboard sleeves for any cd, in my opinion, is a bad idea. Too many opportunities for scratches.
With regard to the 2000 boots, there's something in the cardboard that leaves a film on the discs. When I've bought brand new, sealed bootlegs, the cd's look like total crap when I open it up. It's not because they're scratched, but there's a thick residue on the discs from being in the cardboard. It cleans off well, andyou're left with a pristine disc, but then storing the discs back in the sleeves opens up possibilites for scratching and more residue to be left.
I use vinyl sleeves from Fellowes for anything in my music collection that isn't in a jewel case. They're cheap, and they work very well. They can be had on amazon for about $9 for a 50 pack (double sided). I used to use slimline jewel cases to keep discs out of cardboard, but the storage was a big factor. These sleeves are less than half the price, and take up about 30% of the space as the jewel cases.
Looks like I have quite a few more PMs in my box. I'll try to get responses out as I have time this afternoon, but everyone will hear back from me by tonight when I get home from work.
