Yield or No Code?

Which Jack Irons era album is better. Each arguably is their best album.

For me it's like pulling teeth, but I give the slim edge to Yield.

don't get me wrong, i love Yield. it's in my top 3 for sure. but i love the vibe on No Code. the songs are so different & i think that it really shows all sides of the band. for some reason, i just really connected with that album from the first listen.

No Code... a close 2nd is Yield for me... In My Tree, Smile & Present Tense on one album... can't say much more.

    No Code...easy.

Yield barely makes the top 5. ;)
    hippiemom = goodness
  • I did make mine 16 minutes before he made his though. ;)

It's one and two for me. The power of Given to Fly is undeniable. Although Yield has no song that compares to Present Tense, but you could make that same argument for Wishlist (Which I seem to be the only person on this board to actually take an interest that song :D )
  • no code - sometimes - hail hail - lukin = game over
  • Yield by far. I know I'm in the minority here, but No Code is just kinda..meh for me.
  • You're not a minority. I assure you a lot of people love Yield. :)

Think the moral of the story here is that Jack Iron's kicked ass!
  • wow its actually really hard to say

though i have been listening to no code alot lately

Yield... front to back PJ's best overall album..... combines the rockin PJ with the experimental

No Code doesn't flow that well, imo. HailHail and Habit stick out like a sore thumb. I don't think they really belong on the album. I

Yes, No Code and YIELD are like Peanut Butter and Jelly.

    No Code
  • Yield is my favorite album of all time. Followed in this order: No Code, Vitalogy, Vs., Binaural, Ten, Pearl Jam, Riot Act. LO2L was the first PJ cd I ever owned and is the reason I love this band so much!

Yield - it flows so well as a whole album. It has been my favorite since it was released, taking the crown from Vs.

Ironically (maybe?) my favorite song, Present Tense, is from No Code.

    Still going with Yield.
