the article is pretty long, but interesting. the interviewer asks him what recent music he likes, and he basically says not much. then he names queens of the stone age and pearl jam. it excited me.

I watch his show all the time and am currently reading his book.
QOSA were on his Christmas family show - which was demented, of course.

  • One of the funniest things about the message pit is that whenever someone or a magazine says something bad about the band, a bunch of people HATE that person or magazine suddenly. And whenever someone says something good, that person or magazine is elevated to god status. I don't even know who this guy is but even if I did, I wouldn't like him more just because he likes pearl jam. I really wonder how many people here would have given a shit about Into the Wild if Ed wasn't involved.

come on you can't say that... they might revoke your 10C membership or not let you post on the board anymore or god forbid not let you buy every bit of merchandise offered here ;)

btw I enjoy Anthony Bourdain's shows but could care less what music he likes

I'm not surprised. He's always wearing a Ramones shirt in almost every show. Plus, didn't he dedicate a book to them?

I don't care if he likes Pearl Jam, but I've recently developed an obsession with No Reservations. That's good television.

Bourdain has one of the best shows on TV right now, and I have been watching it religiously, and I just started reading his book. Kinda figured he was a PJ fan, because of the Ramones connection...anyway this article made one of the coolest guys around, even cooler IMO!

So you're getting your panties in a bunch over a thread that you are completely free to NOT read if you so choose?

    I don't get it.

Seems like with PJ having a bit of downtime (no new music or shows), you'd expect this type of thing to get a thread here. What's the big deal?

I started watching NR last season and just love it. This season looks to be just as good.

I don't care if he does/doesn't like PJ, either, but it sure doesn't hurt that he does. What a cool dude.

Thats cool. I left Western NY after high school to get away from the drama and it turned out there was more drama at the CIA. Plus many of the chefs were complete dicks and some of the rules were quite ridiculous. I went there for 2 and a half months and now have to pay 10 grand to them.
  • wow, i can't believe some people are attacking me for posting this. i happen to be a huge anthony bourdain fan, and halfway through the article he mentions liking pearl jam. it made me smile, and i thought i would tell the only other people i know who would find it funny too (you guys!). i'm glad the majority of people here don't take this too seriously, but to the people that this genuinely upset, maybe you shouldn't let a post on a public message board anger you so much.

now i remember why i mostly lurk on here: i'm too sensitive! ;-)
