douchebag bakery

i don't understand how people who are surrounded by delicious cakes and cupcakes, buttercream, chocolate and all assorted goodies can be pretentious assholes.

i went to pick up my sis' cake this morning, this place is REALLY good, delicious higher end stuff. but every time i go in there, and others i know that have gone in there....they have such MAJOR attitude. like you should be thanking god and all the saints in heaven they let you step into their sacred sugar chamber without being tasered in the eye.

so yeah, i don't get it. and i normally would reject a place with bad customer service....but damn their stuff is good lol

if i was surrounded by cupcakes all day i'd be one chipper mofo!

    i hear ya....sad when 'high-end' places are like that. and sure, their products may be spectacular, but absolutely....they don't have to become douchebags. however, i am with you...i try not to reward poor customer service, but somethings in this world are just *too* good to pass up just over someone's attitude.

    yeah it really kills me to give them business, any other place if they treated me like that i'd NEVER go back, i'm a real stickler for that shit. but yeah....i swallow my pride there. and the lemon cupcakes lol

    Perhaps because they make high-end, fancy baked goods they feel like they're superior?

    Don't let it bother you, they're just a bunch of yuppies. Next time you should just lay it on the table and tell them that their product could be a hell of a lot better if they would just get rid of the aftertaste that is left with you once your done dealing with all the assholes and douches that work there.

    Food places always have that upper hand though. You'll always be handcuffed...because really...do you want to spout off or retaliate to someone handling your food? :mrgreen:

    Some of them are just assholes and take full advantage of that upperhand. Almost like they want you to retaliate just so they can do something to your food. :lol:

    I'd be pretty snappy if i had to wake up at 3 in the morning 5 days a week to bake.

    This reminds me of the Old World Bakery in Mission, KS (KC suburb) from back when. The baked goods were to die for. They put together a Black Forest Cherry cake that would curl your curls.

    But the women that worked behind the counter had the old world German accents and the nazi attitudes to go with. Maybe they disliked me because I had long hair. (gawd dayum hippy)

    You make a good point. I'd much rather take a bitchy attitude to enjoy a nice pastry, then to be able to tell somebody off in exchange for a Van WIlder eclair.... :?

    champ it's not so much what they did to me personally, just the overall attitude they got there. and others i know that have gone there have experienced the same thing.

    it's all good though, the cake was FANTASTIC! mmmmm

    sorry, I've come across people saying "could care less" like 5 or 6 times today, so i had to call someone out on it.
