EV on Letterman Tonight?

I should preface this by saying that I predicted this once before and was DEAD WRONG!!! Here's my thinking. I always thought there was a chance that he would be on this week because he would be around. Then last night he (for the first time on his solo tours) covers a Sonic Youth song (one from their new album no less). Sonic Youth is the musical guest tonight on Letterman. EV is outta Albany and presumably heading towards Philly. What better place to have a layover than NYC to join in on Sonic Youth's performance?!? Why the fuck did I go to Letterman last night?!? There's no way they're letting me in two nights in a row! SHIT!!! Thoughts?!?

    I wouldn't be surprised if he met with them during the day or even watched their performance, but I highly doubt he'll play with Sonic Youth on the show.

    If Sonic Youth has an album to promote, then SY will probably be the only one playing. They need to make money on the record, and if EV is playing, he'll attract more attention than SY.

    There's potential EV may visit the city, and possibly meet up with the band - or maybe EV will spend some quality time in Philly instead. I wouldn't sweat it. I doubt it would happen.

    Well either way, I'm in tonight (unless they remember me from yesterday and give me the boot)! Thrilled to see Sonic Youth! I guess I'll stomach Kathy Griffin for one night!

    lol! So far, I'm only hitting the EV show tomorrow in Philly. However, with the west coast tour in the fall I may just have to make a visit home to Cali!

    It wasn't much of anything. He twiddled with some chords and mumbled a few words. It did have a sonic youth feel, but it was a only maybe 30 seconds of messing around.
