I saw people asking him questions. He looked like he was part of the crew. Anyone speak to him?

The shows were filmed for "posterity" was the term they used.

I hope that means "official release", maybe in the form of a tour documentary or something...

i think i saw this same guy - but thought to myself, self, if this was going to be an offical taping for future release 1) why did that camera look like a small Deawoo from 1988, 2) why was he behind the last row on the main floor (seems too far back, even with professional camera), 3) would they really only film from 1 angle???

these unanswered questions are killing me. :)

Probably the same thing for all his shows. For both Toronto shows there was a single camera right behind the soundboard (last row on the floor).

DC shows were filmed with 3 HD cameras. If they're gonna release something, maybe they'll do some songs hi-res, some grainy, etc.
ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you. :)

They are for sure from what I've read. What a catalog they must have! I just hope at some time they release all the goodies! :D

they could easily retire on the money they'd make if they were to release them all.

Doesn't Pearl Jam film all of their shows for posterity sake? I could see Ed doing it too on his solo tour.
