First of all a great show last night on VH1.

For those of you who attended you're certainly lucky fucks.

For those of you who bashed The Who you can piss off.

I know at least 90% of the people here agree and totally think Pearl Jam is the end all be all of bands. They're great I won't argue

When PJ plays a tribute to (at least Eddies' favourite band) wouldn't you think other people would see this as sign of respect for The Who?

Instead all you see is how PJ is so great and can't do no wrong and the band who they're playing for should hang it up and give it up et al.

Show some fucking respect to The Who for fuck sakes. Without them there would be no Pearl Jam or at best wouldn't influence a great deal of musicians many of us have come to enjoy

Hell Ed is starting to show signs he can't sing it like the old days. (Garden, Deep, and a slew of others) He can still sing but...

It happens with age.. and Ed will go through the same thing.

Pete wasn't as powerful as Rog so he can still sing his lines..

I agree with your last statement

    I love Pete

I haven't seen too much who bashing on here. I agree with everything you said though. I have been lucky enough to see the who twice on their last tour and it was absolutely amazing. For 64 years old Roger has still got it. The whole bands tears it up live, I'm telling you, if you haven't seen the who, people need too. My best friend that took me is a who fanatic like we are with pj. I know everyone got a small taste of what a who show is like last night, but imagine the full show with the who singing even more great tunes. "Pineball wizard" live, and "see me, feel me" are amazing live when performed by the who. Great live show seriously. I hope they come back through here if they add more dates (I'm sure they will), and I'll be there.

I was there. My first Who show ever and I thought they rocked hard. I'm 35 and seeing Townsend do the windmill was on my list of things to see before I die. Fucking classic.

I'm stunned to learn people on here are bashing their performance. Then again...

    Me too. :(

I asked others sitting next to me if they thought Roger sounded as good as I thought he did, and they all agreed!

I guess you can't go by what you see on TV.

the who are the best band in the world ever with Zeppelin... PJ in my opinion are on the better American bands of all time but still have a long way to go before they are considered near the who... in saying this pj smoked it last night.
I'm just flying around the other side of the world to say I love you

Sha la la la i'm in love with a jersey girl

I love you forever and forever :)
