SO at tonights show are they gonna hassle me about cellphone

You guys probly saw the rules of the show where no cameras of any kind not even cellphone cameras are allowed in.

Wonder how strict they are gonna be on cellphones, I am sure as hell not leaving my cell in my car and hoping it is still their after show.. Geuss I'll do the old stick it down front of pants trick and try to get frisked by the female gaurd

they let them in ... but will ask you to turn if off if they see you have it on or you are using it ... and there's a risk of being thrown out.

But, if it's off, you can certainly have it with you.

but really... is a shitty picture really why you're at the show?

it cracks me up how people go to a show... and then proceed to attempt to capture it all on a 2 megapixel cell phone

or they take 200 pics with their regular camera at a PJ show

i understand getting a couple... esp if you have good seats

but a cell phone shot from the balcony... really??

although i should talk

at ed's solo show last year I whipped out my cell phone... got the camera ready on the sneak... then pulled it up over the crowd

it just so happened that there was a lull in the song so all you hear is my cell phone giving a loud ass shutter sound "KISSSHHHHHH KISSHHHHHHHH" followed by my bright ass flash

EJ is on stage, that looks like the end of the show, lights are up, "Hard Sun" ... no harm in snapping a shot then.

I dont plan on using the camera on my phone at the show, after all I am up in the balcony so all it would be is a blur anyway

I am asking because as most of us I carry my cellphone with me and we plan on getting down their and hitting couple bars before show and dont want to not have a phone all night.

Im thinking the rule is more about all the people who dont realize that they need to turn the flash off when taking a picture at a concert, or all you get is a nice picture of people in front of you

you're right - phone says it was at 10:32 which was the end of the show

i must have deleted the one i was talking about that i took "on the sneak"

remember, these are against the rules, no posting these pics on the forums ... assumed why it was removed from your post.

actually, you can post pics on all the forums.
my *guess* as to why a pic from the ed solo shows got taken down? probably b/c none were supposed to be taken, as were the offfical rules of the shows/10c...and thus since this is the 'official' pj board...kinda makes sense, no?



that said...i too truly hope they will allow phones in - even with cameras (i said elsewhere, do phones without cameras even exist anymore?) b/c i too like to have my phone with me at all times - especially when i am not in my home city, good for pre/post show palns, calling cabs.....and yes...i have ZERO intention of taking pics. i get it ed, you don't wantcher picture took :P.....but please let me keep my phone.

that's what I meant ... you sholdn't be taking pics at the Ed solo shows, so, they won't let you post them here.

they were not taking phones away when I saw him in Berkeley ... you can bring it in if it's off.

ya know, after posting..i reread your post and thought yea, wtf...that IS exactly what you said. hahaha. but i was too lazy to edit it out. i didn't read your first sentence properly, and thus misinterpreted your message.


i saw ed in NYC night 2 last summer, and sure...we kept our phones, no problems. however, i did not remember the 10c explicitly stating that even cellphones with cameras were not allowed....was thinking perhaps they are being more militant about it this time round since sadly so many people didn't respect ed's wishes and were snapping pics like mad. i'm bringing my phone tho and just hoping for the best.
