Did anyone survive the Twin Towers falling?

I know its unlikely that any survivors who were in the 60th floor survived, but were there any survivors at all in the rubble of the WTC? Did they find any survivors at all?

I am by no means making a joke of the situation. But if there WAS a survivor from that, I vote that he/she has the ultimate bragging rights for the rest of time.

yes, there were people that were rescued from the rubble.

A quick google search says there were 20 people rescued from the rubble. Dunno how accurate that is. I thought they were finding survivors for a week or so, but I found a story about the 20th person rescued and they were supposedly the last, a little more than a day later.

Was watching a special on NatGeo or something like that the other day. They interviewed one of the fire fighters who was leading a group down the stairwell. They were almost out -- but still in the stairwell -- when the tower collapsed around them.

Somehow, the bottom part of the stairwell -- maybe the last four or five flights -- remained standing after the collapsed. It served as like a bombshell for them. That group all survived.
