any fans around here? just wanted to throw their name out there in case anyone has never heard of them. great band. i don't have much to say about them, as i'm new to the band myself, but everyone who likes classic rock music should check them out. i saw them at lollapalooza in '07, and i was diggin it, but didn't really bother listening to them until now. the new album is great.

    i'm a huge fan of theirs. my sister & bro-in-law turned my wife & i onto them about 2 years ago. i love that they've relocated to Austin, because now we can see them all the time. we're going to see them & Jenny Lewis on my bday in about 3 weeks. "Brazen" is a brilliant song. By the way, they put on a great show. If you get the chance to see them, I'd suggest to check them out.

    Saw them in Cincy...before relocation obviosuly. ;)

    Actualyl saw them open up for Secret Machines at a smaller club just across the river in Kentucky. Pretty good band. The drummer was a weird dude. I don't think it's the same drummer anymore, but I haven't seen them in a while.

    A truly solid garage/blues rock band.
    Their new album is great.
    Saw them open for the Gaslight Anthem back in March and it was a great show. Their song "The Mountain" off of their new album translates well live (their guitarist plays slide and he's fantastic).
    Can't wait to see them with Jenny Lewis.

    thanks to music blogs, ive gotten a few songs of theirs and theyre really good. ill have to check them out if they ever play here. solid band.

    they are great, saw them in philly open up for gaslight anthem. good set

    Saw them at the Tall Stacks Fest in Cincy a few yrs ago for the first time. My friends & I were sitting/sharing a picnic table with an older woman who was really in to them...singing all the words to the songs, yelling at the top of her lungs. Anyway, after their set, the singer walks up to our table, hugs the woman and calls her mom. My friends and I laughed about it later...it was a good thing that we liked the music and didn't say anything rude! BTW, they are opening for Wilco in Cincy this month.

    they're playing about 20 minutes from me at Pickathon for 3 nights in a row. Ticket prices are a bit steep & I'm hoping that they add a proper Portland show.

    I had never heard them before but i saw them at the Shaky Knees festival last week. i was pretty impressed with what i heard it was a good set

    Saw them play last night at a new music venue in Birmingham. Sublimely badass 500 capacity club that did not sell out. Fantastic show put on by HB that spanned their full catalog and the tone of the night was set high by the opener Craig Finn. I'm only vaguely familiar w/ Craig but will def be checking out some of his solo stuff after last night. He's an ace story teller.

    Streamed HB's new album earlier this week and after one listen it was kinda meh. Need to give it another listen. Anyone else heard it and have an opinion about it??

    I've only heard the first 2 singles...been holding out on the stream b/c I want to wait for the vinyl. We're seeing them in October for the 9th time & I can't wait! I did find this awesome article in the Austin Chronicle about them & the new album:
