KOL playing OKC, Houston & Dallas around

ACL Festival so there seems to be no truth to the rumor that bands can't play the cities around big festivals. I sure wish PJ would make a stop in Dallas :cry:

    I noticed that too, I think they playing OK on October 3rd. I'm more than stoked!! I'm seeing them in ACL on Friday the 2nd and then again in Atlanta on Friday the 9th :D

    it is true about Bonaroo.. I think it is about a 250 mile radius for Roo. Columbia SC was the closest city last year. I'm sure they can work different things into the contracts. The promoters probably view KOL and PJ differently.

    Me too.

    I just saw No Doubt at Starplex (superpages.com center or whatever they are calling it) the other day and realized PJ hasn't played there in 6 years!!

    I just saw No Doubt at Starplex (superpages.com center or whatever they are calling it) the other day and realized PJ hasn't played there in 6 years!!
    I am so hoping. ACL is gonna be great but Dallas is way overdue for a show.

    (Your post kinda made me laugh--I still call it Starplex too! :lol:;) )

    Yeah we are driving from Miami to Atlanta to see them October 9th at the Phillips Arena, tkts go on sale on Saturday.
    As a matter of fact they are the reason why I’m going to ACL, I had already decided not to go see PJ in Austin because I was seeing them in Chicago in August but then I saw The Kings in Miami last month and I was blown away! I just knew I couldn’t just see them once this year, so I booked flights and bought tkts for ACL :D , they just announced the Fall dates this week so since it’s only 10 hour drive we decided to go see my cousin in Atlanta for the weekend and go to the show on Friday night, I can’t wait!!

    So f'n cool! Yeah, when I saw that, I told my wife about it- it's about a 5 hour drive for me from Tallahassee- maybe less ;) And since we didn't get to see them at all last month in FL I figured that this would be the perfect opportunity to go see them, but her response was, "With what money?!" d'oh! :lol:

    I'm actually thinking about getting another job this summer just so that I/we can go check out a few shows later on in the fall- PJ, KOL in ATL, etc... So far, no luck though
