As you all know there is a lot of talk going on about Target, Showbox recordings, Conan performance, etc. and I would like to add my two cents on the topics.
I think we should all be thankful for what we have received from 10C now and in the past. Any member would agree that they do a hell of a lot for us fans.
I remember back in the day when you got two newsletters and a single and that's it. Those newsletters were (and still are) like gold. It was/is like Christmas time getting them in the mail. I'm 28 and still get excited!
Nowadays we are too caught up in the here and now to appreciate what they have given us. We will always want more which is why we hang around the board and continue to support. If we didn't want more we wouldn't be here.
I think PJ are smart with what they are doing. You have to realise that it's a new musical world that is unfolding and they don't have the same options as before because they have to look out for piracy. Fan recordings are fine but remember paying $50 or more for bootlegs? They need to be able to continue to make a living at making music. If they didn't we would have nothing.
I have been a fan for a long time and trust PJ with their decisions and directions they take. Have they ever let us down in the past? They haven't to me.
I love the new song and am as excited as ever to be a fan.
It's easy to be caught up in the moment and want more more more (I know - I have the worst patience) but good things come to those who wait and it always has in the past.
It's about the music, not money.

however, you posted this at 5:32 AM EDT so for many of us....asleep...and thus by the time i woke up, got to work, came on this board.....aprroximately 17,231 other threads got started and this poor little thread just got pushed to the wayside.
it's OK...life is good.
and yes....a new album on the horizon...pearl jam still making music....pearl jam making their own choices.......so much possibility ahead, and so much EXCITEMENT.......definitely all good.

Well not so far ago I thought it was about money.
But I have to consider my point of view (sorry my english again, I hope U understand what I mean), and I realized it doesn't matter what it really is.
For ME IS IT STILL ABOUT MUSIC, not money. this is what I want to believe, and this is what makes my life better. And make me be better human being.

They are still making great music and keeping costs as low as they can - just look at some of their contemporaries (won't name names) charging $300 and up for tickets as well as being media whores.
PJ are the same as they've always been to me - just finding new ways of doing things.
I am not fanatical or feel it is my religion... i just love the music they make.

OP.... most people will agree. The whinging ones are the more vocal ones though, thus all the threads. I suppose when one thinks 'Oh... OK!', one doesn't start a thread about it.... my take on things of late.

like i couldn't go to Target and buy a CD and put it on the net just as easy if i bought it somewhere else...that's gotta be the most ridiculous shit i have heard around here in awhile...which is saying a lot.
