I think the greatest human invention beyond anything in science is our ability to create music and art. It’s a sharing of energy. When time is spent on something like a picture, a photo, poem, song or a painting, energy is transferred from artist to art. I don’t feel the energy dissipates. In a way the piece of art is living. Perhaps a window into the soul. Very faint but strongly remembered. I feel it is that shared energy, that human effort/will that produces the joy when someone sees something beautiful.
