Just curious if anyone has a clue how many tickets they have allotted for each venue from 10C? I guess today will show a guestimate on how many. MSG should sell out. Just curious how long it will take.

For the past couple tours, it has been 10% of the venue. More than likely the same for this go-round.

in 06, DC and Camden sold out very quicky, This year it took hours. Either they got a bigger allotment of tickets or there is less interest in PJ.

    I seriously doubt the latter.

I hope you're right and thus things are easier for MSG too!

I think its lack of knowledge. i think alot of people wait to renew memberships until tour time. there wasnt any notice, so i think alot of people are getting shutout. Maybe this was a message from tenclub, tell ing us "hey assholes, keep your memberships up to date!". i could be wrong though, im saying this because usually when they announce a tour I get an email. I got one for Ed's solo but not for this one.

10C, do tell us, so we can mock people from different regions of the country about the fact their shows didn't sell out
... and the will to show I will always be better than before.

I still think since we are getting charged the Ticketmaster fees, ticketmaster isnt losing money on fanclub tickets, so more tix available for 10clubbers.

I agree with that and also think it has to do with a lack of a new album. I don't think a lot of people are expecting them to tour right now. There was no pre-tour buzz or items of interest to get people to pay attention.

The only thing that makes me wonder about that theory is that, if true, why on earth did the 10C not make this arrangement sooner so more of us could get tickets on past tours?

well the the 10% rule only went into effect after the 03 tour. Maybe after all the bitching on here, 10c gave up on trying to keep the prices down in order to get more tix. It really is the only thing that explains paying the fees on the tix. But who knows.

Not that there was a lack of notice, but I think ticket sales could be lighter thus far because since they aren't out to promote the album, some aren't aware of the tour. I have two friends who are in 10C and didn't hear about it until I mentioned it to them after reading it Sunday night.

After an album you expect a big tour so you actively pay attention. With this, you had to either get the email (not sure about anyone else but no matter how many times I put 10C on my safe lists all the emails go to a junk folder I never check), hear about it word of mouth, or visit the website.

I have a feeling this is the answer too.

this has been standard practice for the past few tours, your membership has to be up to date as of the day before the announcement..specifically to keep people from only renewing or joining when a tour is announced, helps cut down on scalpers grabbing up more tickets I think.

  • if we are paying the ticketmaster fees eventhough 10c, it would be much much better than if 10c arranged for tickets to be sold for a certain amount of time, not a limited number of ticket pairs. this way anyone who wants can get without worrying about it selling out. ticketmaster walks away with the same amount of money anyway and 10c fans are much happier.

    Bullshit.

One week...people need to make budget decisions, vacation arrangements, travel arrangements.

No wonder the tickets aren't selling out.
