They had three local kids singing backup for them during a few songs at that show. It sounded awesome. It was a cool moment. They did not look like they were out of a Rick Astley video.
Pick up the boot. You'll realize it was an improvement.
Ok. Thanks for clarifying. I actually died a little inside when I read that original quote.
I picked up the boot. I picked it up then promptly put it down, in the trash. It was definitely not an improvement.

He is good for certain songs that have been mentioned but when Alive is played it should be just the band, it just doesn't seem to fit. Have MSG 2 boot from 2003 & Deep has keyboards on it, it really ruins the song. Boom has his place on certain songs & it was nice to see just the 5 of them rocking hard, like no one else can.

Got Some is hardly a boom worthy song, but while we did not see it, i bet Boom was back stage smoking a big fatty
Judging by you profile you've never seen a Pearl jam show without Boom.

Boom is cool and all but it's 5 against 1, not 6.

My first Pearl Jam show was 1996, when was Boom's?.. Please Boom is a jump the shark move I wish the band would rethink.
Kids?.. They were in their late 40s-50s, and definitely looked like they were from a Fine young cannibals video.
Watch them dance along to "Never gonna Give You up", uh, I mean "White Male American" with Ed at the 3:40 mark.
