(idea) Pearl Jam 20th Anniversary Festivals 2010

What would you all say to two festivals celebrating Pearl Jam's 20th Anniversary in late Summer 2010? One in the East Coast, one in the West Coast.

(bigger image)
http://img167.imageshack.us/img167/1194 ... r1mini.jpg

3 days in a field in each location.
A main stage, and a second stage.

Great additional acts like:
-Neil Young & Crazy Horse
-Soundgarden
-QOTSA
-Ben Harper
-Mudhoney

Plus all former members invited back to participate in songs they wrote, as well as to feature their current bands on a second stage. And they could arrange this around any kids being born, since it's only four days total of show days. (p.s. yes this is similar to my 4/1 poster)

Plenty of people will say "It'll never happen" or "this isn't in my location" or "I don't like Dave A" ...yada, yada.

I'm asking is for a "thumbs up" or a "thumbs down". Add whatever opinion you want. Lots of opinions on the board... but please include a thumbs up or down on this idea as is. :)

Here's an image link to thumbs up:

and to thumbs down:
http://www.hscripts.com/freeimages/icon ... part11.gif

my vote = THUMBS UP :)
thumbs-up-clipart11.gif

...what say you?

EDIT - I FORGOT TO MENTION THAT ALBUMS WILL BE PLAYED IN ORDER, THREE ALBUMS PER SHOW:

Three albums per night of the festival.

NIGHT 1:
TEN (with Krusen)
VS (with Abbruzzese)
Vitalogy (with Abbruzzese)

-plus rarities from that era for the encore
-Krusen, Irons and Cameon join in on additional percussion during WMA

NIGHT 2:

NO CODE (with Irons)
YIELD (with Irons)
BINAURAL (with Cameron)

-plus rarities from that era for the encore

NIGHT 3:
RIOT ACT (with Cameron)
AVOCADO (with Cameron)
BACKSPACER (with Cameron)

-plus rarities from that era for the encore
ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you. :)

to be honest, i would rather just see them do a tour of traditional shows that kick ass. Why change a good formula..

    Ok... so thumbs down, correct?

(I believe they already said no tour in 2010, so between this idea and no tour? plus I'd love to see Irons, Krusen and Abbruzzese - plus Soundgarden, Neil Young, QOTSA, etc)

festivals suck. why would I want to stand in an open field trying to hear speakers from a hundred yards away? I would stay home.

Lolla 2008 was hopefully the last festival I'll ever attend.

Great idea but I would rather see a special secret set of shows done for all the 10c members.

I have only just joined so exclude me if you wish lol.

Say 5000 people per show. 100 shows. I imagine it would be about 75 usa, 5 Aus, 4 South America, 6 Europe and 10 massive gigs. 2 Wembley Stadium, 2 in Italy, 2 in Aus, 2 MSG and then 2 in Seattle. Everyone gets to see them a few times. No Ticketmaster. No touts.

    JUST 10C MEMBERS

I'd like to see World tour done in the style of VFC, fan club only. Do just enough shows to get every 10c member into one.

A few 3 night stands in Seattle, Boston, Chitown, Dallas, Redrocks.

I'm surprised at the number of thumbs down! ...if people travel from all over the world to see them at MSG, then everyone from locals to Martians should be traveling from all over the universe to see PJ's first and only shows with all members present... playing their original material... plus Neil Young... BH... Soundgarden reunited for these shows... etc.

I thought it would be a dream come true for so many! Surprised I was so wrong.

haha! Well, I DO love Dave A's playing - and I would LOVE to see his take on songs like Severed Hand and others, but I'd be just as happy seeing Jack playing songs like Red Mosquito and all drummers playing their original material. :)

I would attend! I'm not so sure that they would let Dave A. into the show though...still seems like there is a lot of bad blood between them. Plus we all know that Ed has a "man crush" on Matt Cameron do you really think he would let Dave K, Dave A or Jack near those drums?
