Donate and Receive Signed Backspacer Vinyl!

    Hello from Brazil!

Many you have heard I’ve been training to run in the Las Vegas Rock and Roll Half Marathon to support CCFA and Team Challenge. For those of you who weren’t able to bid on one of the recent eBay packages, we set up an opportunity for you to get something for supporting the cause. Every donation of $100 or more (limit to first 50 donations and one per household) to my fundraising page will receive a Pearl Jam “Backspacer” vinyl autographed by me!

I have a goal of raising $10,000 between now and December 4th, and you can help me get there! All you need to do visit my Team Challenge website and make a donation. It’s easy and secure and you will receive a tax deductible receipt immediately upon donating. Thank you in advance!

First show is tomorrow @ Morumbi, Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Few hours ago they did rehearsals. https://www.facebook.com/groups/2204613712/
  • Wow...that was fast. Less than 1 hour and the 50 signed vinyl are gone. Let's hope the donations continue to pour in.

So, this is just so cool in my opinion. I always wish the band would do something like this. I think $500 would be fair to a charity they choose to get all 6 autographs on a poster or vinyl. Think about the money that would bring in!

missed out on the auto lp. damn. still worth a donation though.

This is a great gesture as most of these charity auctions have goods that sell for 500+ dollars. We should all feel compelled to donate to whatever causes are important to us, but it is nice that Mike is doing something nice for the fans (some fans - ha, not part of the 1st 50) who aren't necessarily able to drop $2,000 for a guitar.
  • Very cool.
    Hearts and thoughts they fade....
    fade away...

I am at peace with my lust.....for Eddie.
  • did anyone who did this get an email confirmation?

I did it and see my name up there as the 20th person but did not recieve an email?

Yup, I got an e-mail that says "donation receipt"..or did you intend a confirmation that you'll get the vinyl?

Also would be nice to see something saying yup you were in the first 50 record coming your way

Also tried emailing twice but no response so far

  • I say kick in whatever you can even if you can't afford the $100 minimum for the album.

    Here's my $15.

I was at Disney with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Team in Training marathon group. I was waiting in line at an ice cream shop wearing a Pearl Jam Vote for Change shirt when a guy behind me asked me about it. He was a fan, and when he heard I was running for TnT pulled out his wallet and gave me a $100 donation on-the-spot.

Thank you for providing my soundtrack for many thousands of miles on foot!

Emailed twice? Relax dude. If you get an autograph, you get an autograph. The point is the donation. I'm guessing this isn't some high tech operation where the charity is concerned about making sure you find out you get a signed vinyl in the first 10 hours of the donation. Relax.

If anyone who missed out on the signed Backspacer is interested, I have an official '03 Tampa bootleg available that Mike signed for a previous donation I made of $100 to the CCFA.

I'm asking $75 after you donate $25 directly to Mike's CCFA charity.

    PM me.

Awesome - I am also looking at running this half marathon and am waiting to see if there's a spot available for me on the CCFA/Team Challenge team. If so, I'll also be setting up a donation site, or seeing if I can just link to Mike's. If I set up my own, maybe I'll come up with a nice little prize... :)

Weird, maybe it was your e-mail filter blocking it? I've received the receipt right after the payment went through.

It would be nice to get a note soon, but with 50 people to reach out to I'm not expecting anything soon.

i don't think there is a way of knowing because the comments don't have dates on them.
and that page was up and running before the signed backspacer offer as well.

i hope i was lucky enough to get one, and if not then i know my $100 has gone towards a great cause.
  • Just count down the list and see where your name is. The names are listed in order of who donated first. If you are within the first 50 names then you'll receive a signed vinyl.
