obama urging to repeal 2001 use of force law

The War on Terror is fucking stupid. I am not agreeing with Obama's appeal, but you cannot fight an idea. Terrorism will never die, its a waste of money to keep trying to fight it, just leave the Middle East and protect America a lot better. Spend money on protecting us, not fighting an idea.

I agree that one man should not have the power to declare war but when I read this I had forgot about this law all together and was shocked it was still around so asked myself why was passed to the next president ?

the idea that one man..any man/president can declare war is friggin scarry.

Technically we are still at "war" with a nonstate Ideology thats in place in large part by Americas shortsighted, misunderstanding of who all the players were/are. Its a war that really doesnt have an ending unless WE just walk away from it.
