It looks like at least 85% of the rural areas voted red.

pretty clear obama got the majority of the urban vote and vice-versa ... what i found interesting is that there were counties in texas that voted for obama ...

    yes,...i did vote for Obama...
My daughter's 6th grade class voted....Less than 10% was for Obama and its a public school...
Ya...i live in Nebraska...and unfortuneatley...we're a red state and its not just for the cornhuskers...

i've taught my children that we support our president and to be kind if Romney would have won...
But he did not...and at the end of the day...more people agree with me than w/ Romney in this country...

    Peace ya'll...

What i thought was interesting about my state of FLorida was that most of the counties that were BLue are College and University counties.

(this is from 2008, but this years is the same)
    Top - Leon is FSU
Center - Alachua is University of FLorida
    Lower center - UCF
    west - USF
South - most populated and contains FAU and U of M

So I guess Mitt was smart to go after college kids by saying that 50% of recent graduates arent working or cant find a job in their field.

I believe Romney acquiesced in Florida. btw - if Republicans continue to lose their hold on Florida it's going to be extremely difficult for them to take back the presidency.

The GOP would destroy the donkeys if it were based on land area.

mentioned this in a previous thread... amazing the success of targeting the swing county voters.
ill say it again $2billion and the democrats finally learned MATH!

the gop ran out mcCANE and rMoney and expected to win??? really. even i give half of the voting public more credit than that.

Very interesting. Not knowing where all the population centers are makes it hard to judge but I was surprised to see so much blue in Arizona.

Also, a little surprised to see Romney failed to win Cape Cod. He didn't just lose Massachusetts, he got crushed.

I think almost all the Arizona vote is in the Phoenix & Tuscon areas. Some of the blue areas may contain Indian reservations, which are heavily Democratic but sparsely populated.

There are similar blue areas in the Deep South where the populations are predominantly black and rural.
