Why not play Modern Lovers' "Roadrunner" in Boston?

In the vein of Boston-themed songs, this is one of my favorites. And I bet it would be fun live. :-D

Gonna drive by the Stop & Shop with the radio on.

That'd be cool. I love Modern Lovers. I'd love if they covered any of their songs.

I bet it would take the band five minutes to learn it, if they don't know it already. ;-)

I'd vote for it (if I could). :-)  It's the song I most associate with that state.

Amen to this! Forget "Dirty Water". "Roadrunner" is Boston's true anthem.  It even has a fantastic organ part (a la the Velvet's "What Goes On") for Boom.

Anything off that album, but “Pablo Picasso” would be incredible.  Ed’s voice would suit that song well...

That would be great paired with "Dirty Frank"! Or "Roadrunner"/"STBC"

C'mon Ed! Covering the Modern Lovers definitely would up the punk rock factor at Fenway!

A modern lovers cover would be amazing!  I know there is a very remote chance that it happens but just the thought of it is giving me serious FOMO

Wilco ended their covers show at Solid Sound Mass MOCA in 2013 with Roadrunner. "This is your state song, right?" That was pretty sweet.
