The headaches the weather is causing people who are attending is the best argument for returning to indoor arenas for future shows. The stadium thing was cool but I think everyone who wanted to do it has had their chance. Time to do a proper indoor tour.
Completely agree on timing of the decision - just want to know what plan B is if they decide Monday afternoon they can't play. You gotta think they will play Tuesday.
Looks like a “window” at 3 am - 6 am - -:) Pretty sure they will do everything to play for fans - but this looks like a public safety risk and likely won’t be their call to cancel. Forecast is within 24 hours now and is getting worse
I wonder if they’d try to start early in anticipation of a delay to try to get a full show in. I.e get on at 630-7. Potential delay and finish up by curfew.

I didn't go to any of the Home Away tour because: 1. Our daughter is starting high school and it ran time too close. We did that with school in 2016 and it was a pain. 2. August weather. Hot. Humid. Stormy.
We discussed it. We had a great time. However, we're holding for arenas.
I’m right there with you. We did Wrigley in 2013 and Fenway in 2016. I toyed with the idea of Fenway again but we have 4 kids going back to school and it’s cutting it too close. I’m actually retiring in March and I’m hoping we get a decent tour in 2019 because I will have a ton of free time.

I just don't see them doing a straight cancellation for two main reasons: primarily that this isn't a full tour where rescheduling would affect other dates, and secondarily that it's Chicago, so EV will do anything to make it happen.
Unfortunately, I'm usually wrong. Still hoping for all the travelers that it happens tomorrow as scheduled.
The show's going to happen! Dark Sky has 65% chance of rain during show. Looks like we'll be wet, but hopefully it's a pleasant summer rain and nothing a poncho can't handle.

Ok. Just watched news and looked at some models. Looks like we’ll get heavy rain from 3-6. Then light rain til 10ish then another wave. The chance of lightning is a bit worrisome.

Big difference between 13 and 18 - 13 was on a Friday. Can’t be playing at 1:30 on a weekday. Just don’t see Chicago doing this. Based on the most recent report I just saw (wife works for local news here) I hate to say but it’s looking real much like the show will be cancelled tomorrow night and refunds will be issued based on weather.
Why would you think cancelation and not moved to Tuesday?
I am sure this was a big part of them playing the weekend they did and for spacing the shows out by 2 days. So, yes, I do think they would be able to play on Tuesday.
I was thinking more of whether they would do a proactive reschedule early in the afternoon if the forecast is the same. Say around noon or 1 if it's still 80% all night with lightning and an enforced 11 o'clock curfew, would they just say "show's off for today. Be safe, get indoors (including forcing the GA line away) and come back tomorrow night".
Keep in mind, 2018 PJ is a VERY safety minded PJ. Just a thought.

Ya I see that scenario playing out as well. Hope a miracle happens and the lightning holds off but not looking good. I am in a bind right now since I do not even have a hotel to go to Monday. Planned on going back to the airport after the show. I will be scrambling for accommodations or a floor to sleep on if they push it a day. I know I will be in the same boat as many but changing flights alone is going to cost me half a months salary.
I'm no weather man but that big blob of green and yellow is slowly moving towards Chicago. Bring your ponchos tomorrow!
Yikes! That is crazy. If it happens I am bringing a rain jacket and poncho

I went to the Wrigley 1 2016 merch line with a handful of ziploc sandwich bags. Handed some out to friends, too. We stood in a monsoon for hours, and the phones were fine!
For what it’s worth the channel 9 news weather report tonight looked promising as far as future radar. Had the majority of the big rains going to the west and north.

Get it at the merch booth earlier in the day and be free to enjoy the show (I know... easier said than done... but if you can).
