I wonder how they monitor this/how far in advance they make a call. With the Sunday off and no game on Tuesday, they have some flexibility.
Ya I am curious about that too. I leave Monday morning. Going to be a painful couple of days seeing what happens. The rain itself could add to the show I feel. Hoping that thunder holds off.
If it moves, it likely won't be to Tuesday. Thinking the Cubs will want to give themselves more than a day to get Wrigley back in shape before the next home game on Thursday.

I should have elaborated. Instead of rescheduling for Tuesday, why wouldn’t Sunday be considered?

Didn't Night 1 2016 have the same forecast? Not sure how long out it was and when it changed but at least Tuesday is looking ok. Hopefully that will push back onto Monday.
It rained on us one last time a few blocks up before we could enter when gates were opened. Last rain was about 5:30 or so that night. Cleared and gave us a rainbow.

I think they would need to refund a lot less ticket purchases.... but on the other hand, for Sunday, you have less time to make the decision, hoping the forecast improves. Back to back stadium shows may put a strain on EV as well?
I feel like they at least have to give it a shot for Monday. I assume the decision will be made tomorrow night to move it to Sunday or not. That would be hard to do move a show that is 48hrs away just because of possible weather conflicts. I feel like they need to give Monday a shot and if it is too dangerous do it on Tuesday. They would still have plenty of time to tear it down for Thursday's game. Fenway had all of its seats pulled up and the cover taken off and put back on with plenty of time to spare between shows in 2016.
That said I can't make a show on Sunday so I might be a little wishful thinking with the above lol.

I bet they get it in. Live here in Chicago. We were forecast to get big rains last couple of days and they didn't happen. I'll trust our WGN TV weather boy Mr. Tom Skilling though this weekend with what he says. The dudes a Chicago institution and is usually spot on. Wunderground and Accuweather both predicting big rains on Monday.

Yeah, I hear you. This is all speculation right now. Hopefully the weather gods smile on us.

I hope you’re right. I’m born and raised here as well, and most of the time when the forecast is 90% heavy storms (within a few days), they’re usually pretty accurate. It’s the 50% scattered storm forecasts that are a coin toss. Let’s hope this is one of those rare misses and we’ll see what Skilling says this weekend.
